no you don't need to pee it off. just cleaned the caps with a cleaner the dealership had then put the decals on. very easy.

note: with these wheels, the decals covers the "chrome" rim of the cap (it's part of the ASA cap). so it will hide the entire cap.

I just noticed this !!!! ROTFL

By the way Anthony, I just ordered the same set of tires (not Runflats) from Tiretrends (just the tires) for $750 delivered, NO PST!!! That pleases me to no end. I'll have them mounted on my stock wheels at delivery and then buy new wheels and tires in the spring (NOT RFTs!!)

I ordered, received and installed these same wheels. Tirerack gave me the BMW center caps for free - no stickers required.

how can tirerack give you center caps for those wheels when they told me that they don't fit. I called twice and spoke to two different people. It's service like this that pisses me off.

good thing the stickers look fine....

I've attached a couple pics. Note that the tirerack part number for the center caps is 36131180419. Note that it is listed on the invoice as an E36 center cap.

I just purchased this same set from Neil (1.888.353.5082 ext.624). It was $1,197.50 including shipping. Shipping was $53.50. The good news is there is no additional hardware to purchase. The wheels will mount up nicely to existing e90 hubs. I did have to contact dealer to get BMW center stickers. They said bring it by, so they can match up the size of the sticker. Snow here I come!!!

I have had merc in the past, I have a third party rip-off wheels, the centre caps they supplied is better than the one you get from Mercedes, I am sure the BMW centre cap will be of the same or better quality than the original! Avoid the stickers its bad news, asa must have supplied those, the tyre store will have the oem+ centre caps

I'm also going to go with this. Looked into Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires (only) but thought this way I get winters + rims for a little more and I can change them up myself.

So, since I'm picking up my car next week. 325XI, how do I get my hands on the proper fitting jack?

thanks all for the help!!

been waiting for this car since last year! Its killing me. should have had it on sep production but the dealer screwed me on the extra $300 for sport pck upgrade.

I am in Florida for 2 weeks with my wife's SUV, so I ordered the same from Tirerack and will take them home this weekend.
Hopfully no Duty or GST as we are allowed $750.00 each and this is all we will have.
Tirerack charged me $6.00 ea for the BMW Center pieces.
Hope I can get the car to the dealership with the snow that I hear is on the ground.

I JUST E-MAILED TIRERACK.COM AND ASKED FOR THE BMW CENTER CAPS- I GAVE THEM THE INFO AND PART NUMBER AND THIS IS THE E-MAIL I GOT BACK. NO CHARGE FOR IT EITHER.
IF YOU DON'T ASK.... YOU'LL NEVER KNOW!
GOOD LUCK.

It appears that in many ways i have errored by selecting the Sports Package and the Performance tires that go with it. Exceptionally bad in snow/ice. I didnt read the fine print in the brochure that states performance tires not recommended for snow/ice. Being a novice i chose the SP inthat i found the look of the 325i somewhat under-stated without larger 17" wheels. The 16's just didnt do it for me...

So, any advise for a novice?? I rather not get snow tires and prefer All-Season's in place of them. Also can i get All Seasons to replace my Performance 17" without having to get new rims????

Any help would be appreciated.

This site is outstanding and had provided a wealth of info. I too as many believe that first 06 buyers have been somewhat screwed/punished for purchasing early as a result of obvious software bugs. BMW should have not sent the car to market if there were software/engineering issues unresloved. But,that wouldnt be profitable now would it...LIVE AND LEARN!!!! I do enjoy the car though. Car was born on April 1 2005.
Sorry for the "wordiness". Brevity has never been my strong-point!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just get the all season tires and have a shop switch them for you. Just get the tires and use your existing rims. Remember to buy the 225 fronts and 255 backs. save your stock tires for later. tirerack.com has really good deals. i was extermely happy with the serivice and speed of delivery.
good luck
