How many times are you going to go for service? Service is once a year for an oil change.

Hire a mechanic to put it on for you and watch him closely or video it then you can do it yourself.

Np, I was just trying to help you out. No reason to wait when its pretty simple to do the JB3. The mechanic doesn't even have to be familiar with it, show any BMW mechanic the video + print out the instructions and they can get it done under 30-45minutes easy.

You will thank me for pushing you once you get it done, you will be grinning all the way home.

No issues, and yeah about 50hp and 50torque, also get a catless downpipe if you want another 15hp or so.

I did get better mpg to, about 2-3 on highway. I need to go write a review since I got mine done last week but haven't done a review yet.

I thought about waiting for Cobb but it sounds like it might be a while, so I just went with the JB3. I've only had it in for 4 days but highly recommend it It's really not that complicated to install - I did mine myself this weekend and I haven't really worked on my car in like five years. All you really need is an 8mm socket wrench and an hour or so.

1. Remove plastic covers on both sides of engine bay by moving the rubber tabs and popping them off
2. Remove the air filter: 4 bolts
3. Remove plastic cowl: 2 bolts
4. Pop off ECU cover: Two sliding locks at top and bottom and four locking tabs, two on each side.
5. Put the control box in the empty area in the ECU area
6. Connect each of the harnesses - the TMAP and boost solenoid are a little difficult, the other two are simple.
7. Connect the DB25 cable to JB3 and route it underneath one of the rubber grommets on the right side of the ECU box.
8. Start car. If it starts with no codes, put everything back together.

I just ordered one also. I'm a little nervous about it but no body seems to be having trouble with them.

I plan on leaving it in the car when I bring it to the dealer unless it's likely the mechanic will be in that area. It's hard to imagine that they would notice it.

I would not do that if I were you. You get a nasty shop foreman walking around and if they notice it then kiss your warranty good buy.

Plus My JB stg 1 N55 has been throwing CEL and 50% reduced power on my car for 4000 miles, it happens everyday.... So I took it off and the problem is gone... I do not have clear tool either and have to have the car serviced at the dealer soon....

This tune really kinda sucks... Weak power upgrade that's very short lived in the power band... I'd look elsware for a good, SAFE tune guys...
Uhm, are you sure you installed it correctly? There should be no error codes at all, only way you get an error code is if you have a downpipe and then you get an emissions error code which doesn't reduce power at all.

Pretty sure you either installed it wrong or its on the wrong map.

Also if a V6 Camaro or Mustang is pulling on you then something is wrong with your car. Stock the car should be faster than them.

Lastly, the mustang was an even run and the NEW 2012 Camaro V6 got a 11 hp\15 tq power boost... It pulled ever so slowly on me... Both cars had a air intake that's it...
So a 3,750 lb Camaro with 323hp and 278 torque beat your car which is around 3300 lb and 300/300? Ok.

And the JB3 does come with 1 map yes but it can be switched to map 0 which is the stock map. You need to go relook at your JB3 to make sure it was on the correct map. You can also adjust the boost, I have a downpipe so Terry made the boost +4 for me.
