Thanks for mentioning that, I was about to. If you have a Costco membership they will do it for free. I had nitrogen in both my cars tires when I lived in the U.S and didn't notice any difference between it and air. If you can do it for free, sure, why not? For $60, no thanks.

Well, I put some 42" knobbies on it and climbed Mt. Everest in under 12 hours last Tuesday.

Was Told by Tire Dealer that RunFlats will last longer if Filled with Nitrogen. Have been replacing run flats every 20- 25,000 miles. This may be worth using if it adds miles to the run flats. Any thoughts Thanks.

It was a $50 CAD option when I got my car. Cheapest thing you can do for your car, less than a tank of gas for me.

The only reason why I would do it is nitrogen tires have a lot less pressure flucuation with temperature. Great for the track and not so bad for the street.

At $60 bucks....who cares?

why don't you go ahead and send me a check for $60 too,

that will do as much for your tires longevity as the nitrogen

(like I'd said months ago, all air in your tires from anywhere is 78-79% nitrogen anyways.. doesn't matter where you get it from)

I never said that it was going to make my tires last longer. I have used Nitrogen in the past at the track and the pressure variations are less than regular air. I would rather have less deviation in my tire pressures.

nitrogen has a higher specific heat than air, so it doesn't fluctuate temperature and pressure as much. To me, not worth $60. Used mostly for drag racing where tire pressure can fluctuate adversely.

I don't see the point of paying up for nitrogen fills...I use them at work to service the aircraft tires and one day I will get around to filling my car tires up with it.
