My 130iS
This is my 2nd 130i Sport.
I've added the Carbon Fibre diffuser and front splits. Sprayed my rims the new M3 (V8) colour, dark grey. Sprayed my Grills black except the chrome slots.

Like the colour, like the wheels, like the CF (I have 'em too) :biggrin:
Do however agree with previous guy about the M/// badge you are drawing attention to something that it is not :smile: I can recommend the BMW Performance silencer if you feel like treating yourself.

Vidge: Everyone has there own choice.
Rephlex: The CF makes a big difference hey. The M was also on my previous blue 130i M Sport 5-door. I was thinking of doing the silencer but its R8000 and a mate of mine said its not worth it

I was "lucky" in that the exhaust was replaced when my original was damaged in a rear end shunt, and the new one was paid for as part of the repair. However, I love the sound it is a massive improvement over stock. Fruity/burbly at idle, raspy at the high end (like e36/e46 M3). I blip every downshift and drive around with the windows down more often. So in performance terms your mate is right, but in terms of enjoyment of the vehicle it's better value than CF. Here's a pic;

So if a 130i is an M, what's a 135i?

In our markets, they sell a number of the 1-series as M Sport. We get the 5dr, 3dr, and coupe. For this you get a sportier setup and look; gear knob, steering wheel, body kit, wheels, that sort of thing.
It's not an M-car. Proper M cars have different chassis numbers. The 135i is only sold as an M Sport in the UK; the 125i can be had as SE or M Sport spec. :smile:

Looks great! I wish we had the hatch in Canada so I could get my girlfriend one and have both 1ers ..... one for speed and one for space! As for the M badge, it is not my thing but it doesn't bother me as much as it does other people on here. M really stands for performance additions to the model. An M3 is just a 3 series tuned from the factory......
