Two Tiny Turbo'd BMWs

A buddy of mine stopped by the shop I frequent with this hugely fast turbo Z3 M Roadster...

Thought I would snap a pic of both our front mounts!

I like how you exposed the intercooler.. but doesn't that get damaged by chips and all types of stuff? But if it doesn't id consider that since it looks way more aggressive with it showing.

There are lots of threads about this...I ran my stock IC for 10k miles without a front grill and there were no more dings than if I had it on. The grill doesn't stop anything. I have also been running my 335i without a center grill and there have been no problem. The grill won't fit on with the AA intercooler anyways, so it's not like I had a choice in the matter.

Do you have links to any of them? I have tried searching for them but haven't had much luck. I'd like to know what the stock intercooler looks like without the grill (if it looks really small or oddly centered or anything like that), and the best way to remove the grill itself.

Also your IC looks great.

Or, rather, anodized black...

Really? They seem to have managed to fit the shroud as well as the grill on this car: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showp...86&postcount=1

I'm planning on getting the AA intercooler but I want the shroud and grill to fit...

I personally like the look of the exposed intercoolers - it's like an animal showing teeth.
