Evolution Racewerks FMIC

Just ordered ER Competition Series Front Mount Intercooler
(Full Kit includes FMIC, Diverter Valve Pipe, and Carbon Fiber Shrouding)

So far it seems to be one of the top out there. Just curious if anyone has any experience with it.

I'd be interested in what people think as well. Did you decide to stay with the OEM DVs, go with the forge DVs, or opt for BOVs?

Yesterday I installed the ER sport oil cooler. The only issue I had was with the shrouding. I order the unit in black and while the oil cooler was nicely anodized, the shrouding appeared to be painted. I could be wrong about this but I could scratch off the black with my finger nail and didn't want to take the chance of paint flaking off once installed. I decided to laminate the shrouding with a couple layers of carbon fiber. Possible problem solved.

Yeah I'm considering their stuff FMIC too. I wonder if they will make a 1M specific version? or at least have 1M adapter parts.

I think the only thing that would make it '1M specific' would be to make CF shrouding specifically for the 1M bumper. Other than that, the ER intercooler will fit any N54 the same.

I have it on my car, and so far I have had a very great experience with it. If you plan to not do any cutting so that the car is easy to return back to stock without buying new parts, this is probably the best FMIC on the market.

Did you also get the optional CF shrouding? I'm just curious if it will fit properly with the 1M bumper.

So there was no cutting needed at all for the install? I was under the impression that some cutting would be needed.

I had to cut mine. Not sure on the 1m but mine i had to cut plastic cross bars out just in behind lower front grill. I went with complete set up with charge pipe and tial blow off.

Is there any news on the cutting involved to fit the ER FMIC on the 1M ?

On the verge of purchasing, but cant find any positive feedback on 1M install.

Biglare....this is the first I've heard of the stage 1+, but its good news. I spoke with Roman last week and didn't get the warm fuzzies that they were doing further testing. Do you know if they plan on stopping there?? Thanks, Mike.

I am not sure and cannot speak for them, however once I get this stage 1+ installed with the other goodies I'll report in with them and go from there!
