Canadian Tint

What % of teint are you getting in canada?

What does the law allow?

And did you had a ticket for having too much teint?

The dealer told me 50% front and 35% back would be ok.....but I wanted to have it much darker 35% front and 15% back.....do you think I might have a ticket in the montreal area?

Hi Ssam,

Had the windows tinted for my 330I and had to check what the laws allowed.

According to the SAAQ website:

Quote:

I opted for legal and im pleased with the results. Dealer did a great job on the tinting.

Hope this helps

Here is a link that may help:

Look like 70% is the max you can have legally.

Thanx, this helps a lot !!

unlucky guys in Nova Scotia, no tint is allowed :-(

So we have no limit for the back windows in Quebec..... :-)

What % of tint did you get in the back Ayeki ? Do you have pics?

I`m now thinking about 20% back and 50 to 70% front.....

Car is jet black 330i. I think my tinting is 70% for side front, 55% for side back and 40% for back. I didnt want it too dark in the back as i find it a pain at night to reverse but thats just me. I'll try grabbing some pics this weekend.

Yeah, had it done before i took delivery of the car... was a bit more expensive than doing in elsewhere but i figured they would do a better job especially since most of these tint shop look rather shady in montreal... Im really pleased with the results.

I ll take some pics tomorow. I have no problems with night vision at all, but of course that s just me. Having 15% on the back seems to darken up the side windows a little.

he spelled it "teint" which I assume is a loose translation from the french word "teinture" meaning to tint fabric etc.

can't diss a guy for trying

I have 35% side windows and 15% back window.
I was told 35% is maximium allowed in Ontario.
Looks great IMHO.

Wow !! very very nice ever35

I like it so much

I wasn`t sure between Ti Ag and A White but after seeing all those beautiful pics I’m happy with my A White choice

I think I`m going with 20% back and 50% front
