135i going to treated like M cars for ordering
I was just in my dealership (Rasmussen, Portland, OR) and I was told by my sales person that the 135i will be treated differently from other 'regular' bmws for european delivery (and non euro del. as well). He told me that usually you order your car and you get a production number from BMW. He told me that because of the popularity of the 135i BMW will give each dealer a set number (based on sales) of production numbers to order from. They don't get any more than what they are given in advance. I put in my deposit months ago and he told me that I would be one on the lucky ones to order. I guess this how they order the M cars.... I thought I would pass this along.

Lets hope its treated like the Z4M. You can get one in the low 40's now. BMW has lost the plot. I'm still buying mine but damn...

I wonder what the waiting list looks like over at Kuni:iono:
Car sales guys love to scare customers into paying up. I'm sure the first couple of dealer allocations will be gobbled up pretty quickly based on the perceived popularity of the car. After that...they'll build more, promise. |

As soon as they catch up with the initial orders that will change... maybe six months.

I think BMW learned a few things about keeping supply at a level that maintains high demand with the MINI. They have been around for years now & the demand for the MINI is still very high.

Yup. This car is expensive to build and it's built in Europe. I'm sure the profit margins are smaller than the 3-Series, so BMW has zero reason to flood the market and force their dealers to start discounting them. If the dollar/euro exchange rate gets a little more favorable, this could change.
