I did the same thing. Installed the PPK2 now, but will probably go aftermarket tune later. Wanted the extra cooling capacity for later. Figured the PPK2 kit would be the cheapest way to get all the hardware.
Hey MMT,

I'm considering getting the ppk1 or 2. Just wondering where you bought it and got it done in Ottawa. Did they give you any sort of deal at all, when i've asked about the ppk1 I've not been able to get them to budge on the price so far.

Ordered the kit from Tisher BMW (getbmwparts.com). Had the software update done by Elite BMW here in town, they charged me 1 hour labour to install it. Then installed all the hardware myself.

Thx for the info. Just tried entering the part numbers for a few things and nothing came up, maybe they dont carry it anymore?

Had a look at the install guide and its really

For someone like me who has only done minor things, I'd better let the shop do it.

Cheers

This was where I ultimately placed the PPK plaque. I had to move the aluminum bolt warning sticker and the notice to replace the spark plugs at 45k. I don't remember who did the same but in my opinion, I think this is the best place for it.

Ooh! Looks great! Sadly, nobody seemed to do that, though a few of us got the idea. I know what I'm doing!!! Rick, too.

Um, does mine in that spot still in its plastic baggy work for now? All good things to those who wait.

Mine will probably go on next weekend though and I just got a brand new digital camera to properly document the momentous occasion 6 months in the making.

You need to take a page out of the 3002 tii playbook and create a GoPro vid. Just strap it to your head and walk us thru the entire process.

Don't forget the mic cover

Parts are on order. 3-4 week wait while the BMW Performance Power Kit badge is shipped from Germany. That gives me time to get my engine compartment looking half as good as jkoral's!

Haven't had much time with the car with the PPK2 installed since I just picked up the car this morning. But so far, I'm loving the upgrade.
Could you help me fine the parts number of the New T-hose to the pump for N55 engines? I have the 17127602294 but just found it's for N54s not for my N55 The hose I am talking about is located at the front passenger side with a skinny hose across the radiator fan to the additional radiator on left. Is it the Hose 17122181274 on your parts list?

Digging up an old thread here but...

Does anyone know the part number for the wiring? The wiring from the radiator to the fuse/power?

Just curious -

Why go through all the lengths of installing that extra little radiator when you can simply purchase the plug&play mishimoto radiator that has the increased capacity and cooling? Seems cleaner than the add-on route of the PPK2. The 850W fan is interesting, but doesn't really come into play above 35mph.

Correct. Both Mishimoto and PWR only make their larger aluminum radiators for 6MT cars.

However, CSF makes their radiators for both 6MT and AT cars. Here's a discussion on E90 post: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1089057

To do the PPK2 conversion on the 135i, you need to have quantity 2 of the rubber mounting 67618370818. The place where I ordered the parts made a mistake and only included one of these. My dealership had to make up the difference.
Realize I am necroing this thread but, where do these mount? Can't tell from the pics. Thx.

If you're talking about the rubber mounts, they're for the relocation of the horns. You can see where these are used in the installation instructions Mightymousetech posted in post #16 in this thread. It's discussed on page 14 section 7.

Is there a list of BMW part numbers for BE-BH? I didn't see them in the pdf. I suppose I could get equivalents at a local hardware store but I like going OEM for stuff like this.
