LHD M alumium foot rest for RHD e90
we all know that certain bmw parts such as m foot rests were only offered for LHD cars. RHD E46 m3 coupes did not have m aluminum foot rest. i modified my LHD m aluminium foot rest yesterday and managed to put it in my RHD car for the e90. I did the same thing previously for my e46. the price for the ORIGINAL LHD foot piece/rest was an astonishing 4 US dollars from the main dealer. unbelievable but looks great in RHD cars too! the foot rest is smaller than the e46 version and is secured to the foot well either by glue or 2 screws (preferable).
Below is Bora's LHD m aluminum foot rest for a comparison. will post RHD pics of soon and part no. Last edited by climkt; 07-20-2006 at 08:55 PM.. |

well, guess all the RHD e90s guys out there are not interested in a M sport accessory or have put in their aftermarket footrests. a bit disappointed by the flat response from u guys. Perhaps, the majority of e90 members drive LHD cars. This M part aluminium foot rest is not a fake and has not been photoshopped. i got it from the main dealer.

hi Zuerstbmw , part no for m LHD foot rest only- 51477906851. u may need an attachment if using for LHD car as it is connected to your door panel , unlike RHD which is situated next to bottom of centre console. good luck.

for the LHD car, u don't need the 2 screws. there are pegs behind the foot rest and this is connected to another floor piece. does not need mods to fix unlike RHD cars as the m foot rest is custom built for LHD cars only.

it must be quite easy for all the LHD cars to get the e90 m foot rest as no other mods required, it will fit stock. anybody with LHD cars ( non sports package) retrofitted the m foot rest?
