Crimson Red - MIA?
Anyone have photos of the Crimson Red? I have yet to see one anywhere, and I don't trust the configurator, it shows such drastic color differences when you jump to the 360 degree view for some colors. It be great to see this color even if it's only on another model.

The side shots taken up close show the color pretty well...

Harold, thanks for the response with that photo series - I'd seen that series before and just totally forgotten that car was Crimson, my brain has been so saturated with Sedona...
Don't personally find it quite upscale enough for the car, at least as seen here. |

If they made the 135i in Imola Red, I'd be totally all over it. Imola is a great color for a BMW, as a few member who have ZHPs and M3s can attest to.

I like the looks of the Crimson Red a lot in person. My local dalership has several 3 series in CR on the lot right now & it really looks nice.
The main reason I'm not going with the CR on my 135i, is the fact that I've had the Chili Red MINI for four years now, and I'd like to change things up a little this time. As for maintaining a solid red car, I actually think the opposite is true. Any solid color paint when polished & waxed properly, will look better than most metallic paints IMO. |

I wonder about that - there may too much of a purplish tone in that red for it to be Sedona, which has a much more coppery hue even in outdoors shots out of direct sunlight. Could be the color balance on the camera, but the blue in the roundel on the car's side looks correct.

The only other color it could be is Sedona, because it's certainly not Crimson, and it looks a LOT like sedona already. Welcome to the world of sedona when it's not under the showfloor lights...
I think that purple hue you see if because of the reflection of the white wall next to the car, that's partially shaded and looks purpley. |
