luckystrike...
26K for a 318d in Austria with those options... that's good.
My 320d cost 67k Euros.

Here in Ireland, the basic 318d SE spec car without any options is almost 46K and with the options you mentioned would be over 53k. So double what you paid for the same car.

So much for price harmonisation in Europe. We are being screwed in some European countries...

well its also expensive here in austria., i just purchase it thru diplomatic price (no tax, road tax etc...) but i think it will cost around 38k euro., i wonder how come we get more expensive BMW here considering these cars are built right beside our backyard (germany). grrrr

Oh right, the price you quoted was before tax. Well, I don't feel quite so ashamed now: the total price of my fully loaded 330d, less 19.6% VAT & including the dealer discount is €37,400.

Is BMW offering the same diplomatic program than in Belgium? (15 % off + taxe free ?). MAy i ask you if you go for CD registration or a "classical" one. We have the choose between a "EURO" registration (for EU workers) or a classical belgium plate. it seems a lot of people prefer to go for a "classic" registration to avoid vendalism.
what is your recommendation?

I have beige leather. The key is frequent cleaning. I clean the driver's seat twice a week and the other seats once a week. I use Meguiar Gold Leather cleaner and conditioner. The leather still looks like new and no dirt and stain at all.

Well, looks like the spa didn't cover cleaning up the seats thoroughly. Anyways, I'm supposed to get the car back to the dealership for a recall on door handles that don't close properly, an iDrive update for MP3 playback, and this time they will clean up the front seats. To be continued...

OK, never mind, my dealer recommanded to go for a normal registration plate instead of driving with a "CD" plate or "UN" or "Euro" plate for a privat use. the only advantages are, in some cases, less control by the police or your plate won't be recognised by the automatic speed control system through the european union. from the other hand, you have a higher risk for vendalism with such a registration(at least in BElgium it seems).
It is our first deal with diplomatic sales too.
