Depo headlights flickering

Is there anyone that could help me with this situation.
I have changed the oem halogen headlights that come on some of the 128i, for a set of Depo HID projector headlights with halos. Everything works but the short beams, it flickers when the engine is running. When the engine is off I can turn on the lights and there is no flickering, when the engine is running the lights start flickering and I get a message on the dashboard.
These lights are advertised as plug and play. There should not be any need for reprograming as far as I understand.
If someone can help it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You will need a set of resistors or error canceling ballasts to prevent the flickering issue. The problem is the car is coded for halogens but is flickering due to the lower wattage xenons.

I thought they came ready and there was no need to do any of the above.

What is the purpose of the box that comes hooked to each housing? I thought it was for error canceling.

HIDs are a pain in the a** with our cars. The error cancelling ballast don't really work at all. Also known as warning code deleter, you can order them from ddmtuning.com, but hardly work, I've tried two different pairs and two blew up on me, too much power running through them, don't know how the one's Jlevi's sell work, never used them. What you can also do, buy a pair of capacitors, then tie them to the wires running into your HID lights, once I did that my HIDs work perfectly fine. There's a lot of work to be done but it's doable, search my previous posts and you will find out more.

You can install them with HIDs but need error cancelers to prevent the flickering and bulb out. We now offer this option with the projectors.

I can't find the error cancelers on the Jlevi web site. Do they only come with the projectors or can they be purchased separately. I'm interested if it does take the error message from dash and stops the continuously flickering.
Please, direct me to the site. Thanks.

They are listed with the 3-series. Order those, they will work for the 1er. Talked with jon about it today and just ordered mine.

Thank you for all of your input. I resolved the problem of low beam flickering, with a warning canceler capacitor.
Is it normal for them to flash for a second when the engine is started even though they are off?
