Trimming/Rolling the fenders

Hey guys,

I'm going to be running an aggressive fitment on my 1er and will most likely need to trim/roll the fenders.

Does anyone have any pictures of their rear fenders for reference? I want to know how much everyone is trimming/rolling?

Thanks,

Evan

There isn't much material to roll on the rears. You'll likely need to do some cutting of the fender liner etc depending on the setup.

What wheels are you going with? I'm guessing HREs

IMO, if you're running this aggressive of a setup, you're going to need to pull the fender a decent bit. Trimming the inner liner will help with rub. Also, you're going to need to dremel down a small metal area where the rear bumper meets the fender. You should be able to see what I'm talking about if you take a look.

If you don't want wheel rub, yes.

The fronts are minimal roll, you'll need to shave off some material where the front bumper mounts up.

The rears have a ton of caulking in them, so remove the caulking and you'll get a smoother roll and pull. Also you'll need to shave a part as previously said.

what are your specs on wheels.. i run 19/9.5 with 35 offset on my rear.. they required a major roll but the only tire that fit after the roll without rubbing was a 235 size tire.. front has no problems... this is stock suspension no sports package no nothing.. on my 2010 135i

9.5 et35 is way too aggressive for the 1er. 9.5et43 will be perfectly flush but may still require rolling and/or stretching tires.

I'm running a 10" in the rear with a 265. Very minimal roll required.
