The inner part should look like in this photo if equipped with adaptive lights (ignore the fact that it is a pre-LCI headlight):

A few updates required.....
Fitted the LUX V4 but it showed up a clear discrepancy in the brightness of one angel eye compared to the other, have removed them from now until I get the headlights sorted Then work began on the rocker cover... Light blue stripe a little off, but other than that a close match for colours. Next onto something a bit more serious.... Both are now fitted and at the dealer for coding! Best mod so far...

Some nice mods there bud,you mention the seats as being great, how is the seating position, look higher to me?ive got the electric seat option in my car and find them high,I'm not a tall lad,but like a low seating position, also the standard seats aren't very supportive as i find myself sliding about in them very easy when pressing on,tempted with Recaro spg,but wife has a baby on the way, really need folding seat or buy a track car instaed

Had the akrapovic fitted. Gives off a great note with the valves open, and really quietens it down for longer drives etc when closed. Top quality exhaust as you would expect from Akrapovic.
Just returning back from a trip to visit the lads at DMS Automotive. Overall a great experience from a knowledgeable pair, know exactly what they are doing with the maps and got it spot on! Figures came out at 445bhp and around 460ftlbs of torque. So much more responsive, aggressive acceleration, yet smooth delivery at the same time. Will post up photos/graphs tomorrow. I'd recommend anyone looking for tuning in the UK to give Rob and his guys a call. Thumbs up from me!

Car is coming together nicely mate! Very jealous of all the recent modifications, Akrapovic...
Been considering a trip down to DMS too, they are just so bloody far away though! Will have to decide soon as I've been in contact with Rob for the past week. 445bhp with the tune and the other additions must be mental ha.

I like this thread and have considered playing the same game - but then i still come to the same conclusion... 997 GT3 is next and i think the more you play around with the 1M the less desirable it will be for the next punter... Its a bit like the mk2 16v oak green Golf, wheres the standard one?
Saying that i could still be full of sh#t, just got a set of 295/30/19 meats for the rear.. There's no chance they look like they will fit... 1 question - who else in Scotland has a black one? |
