Nope I found it tonight too!

Although, is it just me, or does it only blow air in? It doesn't start the car and use air con, just turns the fans on. Also, it only really works if you know the exact time you are going to be at the car, you can't activate it a few mins before you get there. One of my older cars had remote start up, so if I left the air con on, then when I pressed the remote it turned the car on and cooled down the car.

I'm not a fan of the looks especially the back. I think it will date quickly.

I've been checking out videos of the Evoque on youtube all night. I think I'm sold. It looks fantastic. It seems about the same price X3 in 20d. I just hope the engine isn't too gutless and it drives well. Thanks a lot Richard!

A couple of weeks ago I spent far too long optioning one of these up. The list is extensive. The leather options are very enticing, exciting even.

Initial reports say quality is top notch.

I believe BMW have a fair bit to learn from these guys...I predict this will be a genuine competitor for the luxury SUV segment <$100k.

Well, I considered this car vs an X3 - and I went the X3 by a country mile....

I would divorce my wife if she wanted this or any suv. I so hate cars like this - buy a friggen station wagon.

Great for dropping your kid off at Scots or Kambala etc....

I usually don't like these sort of cars either, but due to this one being a real 4x4 (from what I've read) that's why I'd get one.

Not going to be on the same level as a landcruiser, but will be good enough for light duties/beach driving on Fraser

Fair enough - if you going to use as intended that's great. In Sydney mothers love suv's and are a total menace. If my wife would drive a car I'd get a mini or similar - less chance of her running into things. And really there is no 4WDing to be done in inner city Sydney...

+1

Range Rover did extremely well with the pricing. Its done well because it opens up a substantial boundary for them, ie those who want a basic one for $60k its pretty good value, and lets say a fully option one is $100k - it will trigger those whom are originally interested in a X6, Cayenne and even the Sports/Vogue.

Lets be honest, the modern SUV isn't really... well a SUV anyway. How many luxury SUVs can actually go off-road and both practical?

They aren't off road vehicles, they are large cars that can carry 5-7 people and a lot of luggage while also having a high seating position.

Station wagons are very 1970s!

Mothers are a total menace in SUVs? There's a generalisation! I'm sure my wife would love to hear that one.

Vin when I was there the salesman showed me what is due to arrive and available for sale, there was quite a few. I would say a lot of people have custom ordered so have to wait, whilst LandRover has pre-ordered a heap to different spec. Some are due to arrive this month, so if you can find one you want with the spec you want I'm sure you can get it pretty early.

Thanks for the heads up Richard. Knowing me I'll want to load it up with goodies though but need to remember this is meant as a run around car to take to work! Those seats will be hard to pass up! Pure edition looks like best value though.

I've started researching this car and the more I learn, the more fascinated I am. It seems like a genuine all terrain vehicle that lives up to the brand name.
