Yea... @gs/e60/1m? (Rudi) and @Artemis (Luc) and I will all be meeting up in Belgium from time after New Years. We plan on going to the special Porsche exhibit at the Autoworld. On the way back to Germany I plan to meet up with Max and tour MiniChamps. I will of course be bringing my camera for you all.

I'm almost sold out of models...
Quote:
I have (2) VO and (2) BSM models left in my possession. These four models are still available. So if you want one you better hurry up! But here are a few pics of the models.... AND... this is all I have left. (2) BSM and (2)VO models. Then no more. MiniChamps will not be making any more models in these colors. The box was all full of cars two weeks ago.

I found a great deal on a 1:43 1M model in black as well as a black 2002 turbo I've been trying to find for a while. Got both of them for $150 including shipping.

Next month, I will be able to order Yellow and Blue 1M's since those were also special VIP colors made during the production run. I can also get the Mamba Green color too. Dack

if anyone wants a black 1:43 minichamps model, I have a source in Germany. The cost is around $105 shipped to the US. Shoot me a PM and I'll tell you where and how. BSM is the only colour they have.

In May 2011 @Scott26 reported about the release in June 2011 of the 1:43 VO 1M diecast we know. However he also spoke about the development of a 1:18 VO 1M diecast and hoped for release by year end 2011:
"[quote] Where can I get one? Does the Welt have it available? Is there any info about what happened to that 1:18 project ? Why didn't it come to fruition ? For sure there is a market for it. Nowadays the original 1:43 VO 1M diecast doesn't change owner for less than €200 (± 4 times its initial sales price): http://www.ebay.de/itm/1-43-Jada-Toy...item2a35eeada5 About the 1:43 VO 1M diecast and why these are so hard to get hold of: "Unfortunately regarding all miniatures BMW employees get the opportunity to grab the first units when they arrive on our doorstep. The first batch was of 1000 pieces but the second batch is due around August. While for example the 1:87 1er diecast in Sedona Red is currently up for grabs on eBay for less than €10 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-BMW...item5d44899600) and the 1:43 diecast M1 (Procar 1979 - Mario Andretti) for less than €30 (http://www.ebay.de/sch/i.html?_odkw=...retti&_sacat=0).

@Scott26 has been wrong before, as we all well know. Remember: he told us the 1M would not have fold down rear seats. Not to worry about a 1:18, 1M model. Max is deep into the process of bring us these larger models later this year. I will post the information here in this thread when we are ready to start taking orders for the 1:18 models. Dack

Due to bankruptcy laws in China , all intellectual property is held until proceedings have been cleared. New manufacturers took over the tooling for the models the previous company were contracted to produce for BMW. RMZ have the HOTWORKS contract for the 1/18 BMW 5er GT , 1/18 BMW X3 and the 1/18 BMW 6er Coupe and Cabrio. HOTWORKS also produced the 1/43 BMW M3 GTS and BMW 1er M Coupe and were producing the 1/18 models. The 1/18 BMW M3 GTS has since appeared under another manufacturer. It remains to see if the 1/18 model is coming too. But on the miniature front there is a lot of the new cars coming this year from BMW. Such as the BMW i3 and i8 , BMW 2er and M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe amongst others.

Thanks for the clarification @Scott26.
There's a pretty high demand for 1M miniatures. Also Matchbox realized that and released a 1M version in 2013 (selling like hot cakes): http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=899641. During launch a 1M Matchbox (MSRP of less than $1) was sold for $92.03 ! (http://www.ebay.com/itm/200974115640...84.m1435.l2649).

Its GREAT to see the model arrived safely!! I think you deserve an award for waiting so long!! Man DHL took their sweet time. And it was such a rollercoaster of a ride this last week - trying to track down your package. I am happy it had a nice ending! Dack PS: Guys I am still waiting for word on the 1:18 scale models. I fear we are look at late this year at the earliest. I will let you all know the trim and purchase options when it becomes available for sale. Even the MCB and Yellow 1:43 production has been delayed. So we have to wait for news from Max. Stay tuned.

Sorry, no more models... :(

I can only get the Mamba Green 1M at the moment. In a month or so, Max says he will have a MCB(Blue) and a bright Yellow 1M model in 1:43 scale. The reason why he can make models in those two "other colors" is bc BMW actually made a few 1M's in those two colors! You had to be a very special VIP customer of BMW! The 1:18 model run will be sometime later this year. I'd probably guess around September. Max will let me know, and I will let everyone know here - in this thread. So... if you want to be kept abreast of all the Minichamp model news... just subscribe to THIS thread and select the EMAIL alrerts so you get notified. I am sure those 1:18 models will go fast. FYI... 1M Minichamps 1:43 production numbers(its also listed on each model base)... VO = 1,008 BSM = 528 AW = 528 Green = 528 ///MbmC was the very last 1Addict to receive his 1M model. That was due to DHL taking way, way too long to deliver it. We were both sweating a "lost" package. I am glad we had a happy ending! Dackel
