Carbon Fiber ///M sport steering wheel trim piece

I installed my carbon fiber ///M sport steering wheel trim piece this morning. I think it looks alot better than my OEM black trim that was peeling near the left buttons. I installed it myself using AndyM's tutorial on removing the streering wheel trim piece. Even though I was only able to get the right side of the air bag to release, I was still able to swap out the trim piece pretty easily! Only took me about 20 mins!

Ebay is your friend!! Just type in BMW e82 carbon fiber steering wheel trim piece and it will show up. I bought mine from a seller called Creative Motoring out of Arizona, even though the parcel that I received came from California? Go figure?? I used the trim piece for the E82 1M and I purchased the one with the indentation for the ///M decal. I reused my decal from the old trim piece.

I'm pretty sure there is one company who makes this and every retailer just sells the same thing. So ebay, mod-bargains, anywhere else are all probably the same quality.

Yea, that's what I gathered when it shipped out of California. The fit and finish on this piece are outstanding! The weave pattern looks great with no flaws and it has a nice clear glossy finish. This particular ebay seller was asking $159.99 with free shipping but he had a "Best offer" tab so I was able to get him down to $142.99 with free shipping!
