New pads for BMW Performance rotors
Need new pads in the front.
I've typically ran Hawk HPS. This is my daily driver, with some auto-cross and a few lapping days thrown in the mix. Does anyone have a pad suggestion other than the HPS? Maybe something with a little less dust? How about the Hawk Ceramics?

I've ran HPS pads in the past and can attest they do produce quite a bit dust.
For your reference I'm currently running Stop Tech Street Performance pads and they are slightly dustier than OEM. There seems to be lots of people running many different pad setups on the forum so I'd imagine you'll find some good info.

Stoptech streets are dustier than OEM? If I remember correctly, most things I've read suggest that they are less dusty than OEM? Hmmm, time for some more research. |

Bav Auto have a chart in their catalogue which compares 6 different pads with respect to 1. low dust, 2. low noise, 3. high friction and 4. fade resistance. The best for performance and dust is the Brembo. Slightly behind are the Pagid red and Cool Carbon.

Is there a Brembo brand pad that will fit our front OEM 6 pots?

Search the threads. Lots of discussion on the topic. Not a lot of options for the 135 though. Some personal experiences from 15 years with assorted BMWs... Cool carbon equals no if you are going to take to the track. No street pads are really acceptable at the track but the cool carbons are unacceptable. hawk ceramics on my e46 threw a lot of light brown dust. seemed to hold up ok at the track but that was a much slower car than my 1. performance z rated are OK dual purpose but not available for the 135. I use these on my e90 including at the track. Stoptechs seemed to hold out OK on my 135. very good on the street and didn't fall apart at the track. a safe bet. I'm currently running ferodo ds2500s. also seems to be fine. relatively low dust and OK at the track.
