Vert top

Hi everyone. Am a newbie here in all regards. Just purchased my 128i convertible and am getting ready to clean it for the first time. Now, I am not as detailed as most out here, but I have purchased the Chemical guys Citrus Wash and Gloss and their Butter Wax. One thing that I didn't think of until I just received my package is that I have a convertible and can I use the Wash and gloss on the top or not. I read the detail guide and will follow with the other products after washing.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

You can, but I'd highly recommend investing in some RaggTopp cleaner and protectant for your top as you'll get much better results and it'll help your top stay new for a long time. Congrats on the new convertible!

Listen to Marc (AKA MuttGrunt)! I use the CG Citrus Wash and Gloss on the entire car, vert top included. I also use RaggTop cleaner and protectant on the canvas top. Both seem to work well.

I bought a RaggTop convertible protectant a few months ago and it's nearly empty after one time use of 2 coats. I'm not sure if that's normal or I got unlucky and got a used/defected one lol.
Can anyone answer this?

Either you use entirely too much for each coat or (more likely) you have a defective can. I treat my 128i perhaps 3 or 4 times per year with a double coat and each can lasts at least a year.

well, that sucks :/
These protectants aren't that cheap either; $20 a can!

Where do you guys buy Raggtop products? I got mine from AutoGeeks
