FMIC Upgrade... keep the factory shroud or remove?

Hi All,

I had an Agency Power intercooler installed on my 135, and have to say the difference in response and sheer torque delivery is very noticeable over stock. However I was never really happy with the fact that once the front bumper was put back on, 25% of the intercooler seems to be covered up by the bumper.

Also there is the black plastic shroud that supports the factory intercooler along the front that requires trimming for the aftermaked cooler, this seems to also restrict a little air to the new cooler. Has anyone just removed to entire shroud along the front of the cooler, and the plastic mesh on the front bumper to allow more air flow to the new cooler? I was tempted to do this but wasn't sure if it was a major structural support for the front bumber...? Would it weaken the front end in anyway?
