But think of how much better traction you could have with 275s.

So you guys are installing narrower tires than stock and running ridiculous camber settings to achieve a certain look? You have to exit driveways at an angle just to make it to the street and you crawl down the road at super slow speeds to keep your suspensions from bottoming out and your tires from shredding themselves on your wheel arches? WTF?

Im running 245/255 on mine, lowered on KW V1's and the only issue I have is rubbing with a passenger in the back or over a large dip. I could probably raise it up a bit more, but it's not too bad as it is now.

I took out 2 VMR's on the left side of my car with semi-stretched Conti DW's in 225, front 255 rear. Traction was not that awesome either I must say.

I like the look!

I'm planning to do 215/35/18r and 225/40/18r on VMR 710's (18x8.5 ET 35 and 18x9.5 ET 35) after seeing a handful (like probably the 5-10 people running works/bbs lm) of 135i's going aggressive offsets. And I love the look.

But... I'm just so surprised after looking through many threads (jzhang's in particular) that this forum does not approve.. I'm confused.. why does it matter? It's not like I'm painting my car purple tossing in 20 inch rims with spinners and adding hydraulics, lmao their just offsets/tire sizes...

That's my point exactly. Too many people here are just anti anything out of the ordinary and don't realize most of the people running around static actually have a set of track wheels/tires.
I will either be buying or building a set of bbs rs/rf this winter at 18x9/18x10 et30-40 with some 215f and 245r. But I also plan on keeping my stock 261 with 225/40f and 255-265/35r for autox or track days.
Yeah it is difficult getting over speed bumps and getting into driveways but that's the whole fitment game. Making something that shouldn't work actually work is the goal.
As far as I'm concerned all you guys with 18x8.5/9.5 vmrs in 45-50 offset are making the 1er look cheap and boring. Oh and make sure you get a cf diffuser and put a bms sticker on the window *rolls eyes*. No hate for the people that fit this category but if you come in here with a cookie-cutter 1er and slam a guy for doing something out of the ordinary you really hold no ground in your argument.

Props to the guys in here fitting these aggressive wheels.

Yesterday I saw 3-5 1er's with the exact same set up that I was going to run +45ET and +50ET on VMR 710's on a black 1er and then I realized, fuck that I'm not going to run the exact same set up as everyone else.. I chose the 1 series because of how exclusive it already was compared to how many 3 series and camrys and honda civics you see on the freeway, you can't go a block without seeing one. Now when I drive around I can go on days/weeks without seeing another 1er lol, and when I actually do see a 1er it's never the exact same way I have mine set up.

Either way, I'm only going for looks. I don't track my car and if I ever plan to, I would get apex wheels and go for negative camber and do all that crap to get the appropriate tires for the track 245/275 and all that. But on the street I'm not racing anyone, I'm just trying to get to point a to point b.

+1 for your input, btw I follow you on instagram! lol
