Nice toys. I hope evolve works out good

Also where did you get the Sunglass holder ( part ##)?
What about 1m binnacle?

As far as tray... see ebay UK, they have tons of braker parts mayeb even silver top lid

I like the cigarette tray, the second power plug charges my phone and closes neatly- actually looks nice.

In the mean time the tray only will look good with silver surround = contrast

The part numbers I got them from ECS site based on color, same for the 1M binnacle.

I bought them from reeves who got me the best pricing.

I think I may wait till source the aluminum ashtray cover unless I change my mind over the holidays

Today I will receive my cable Yey

Really curious to see how well this works with your H/O N52. You have the least to gain, but you're already at the top!

Yeah, me too! I know I am not to expect anything surprising but just improved driveability and a bit of an extension of the power towards the redline.

Not cutting my box open even if that is 1 or 2 hp. btw MX gets Euro spec for all cars.

There was another 130 that made 2-3 hp more that evoglyn without cutting, however that other car had performance intake

I have the pipercross and had the KN before, both were equal. I may be lucky and get a Performance Intake this coming week, if I do then it will be interesting how it perform with the evolve tune too.

Good to know. I have the K&N and I was thinking about switching to Pipercross.
I already had a sinking feeling that my money would be better spent elsewhere...

Since these are sound boxes anyway, any improvement? K&N sounds great to me, just curious.

Hi, when I got the car it already had the KN in, so I do not know how they compare VS stock, however between the piper and the kn there is zero difference in sound or performance, absolutely the same. Your money will be better aomewhere else like you said.

Make sure to have a battery tender, the coding takes a bit as the BUS on our car is so sloooooow.

Gees, i wish I had access to the car now but I fly back home tomorrow and it will be till Saturday when I can read the ECU and send it to Evolve! A few more days to wait!!!!

Meanwhile i can install the binnacle, my spacers and my sunglass bin.

Need to source a battery tender though

I was very lucky and got myself the Performance Intake! Had the chance to do a long drive and it does improve engine response from 2 to 3.5k rpms. The sound simply cannot be heard over the performance exhaust. I paid 450 which although still expensive was a very good deal.

I still have to do the ECU read to send it to Evolve.

Edit: 1 hour later I completed my ECU Read and this was my petition letter to Evolve

********************************
Hello Evolve Team, I am very excited as I just finished Reading the ECU from my car using my EvolveR interface. Here I am attaching the file as well as my list of modifications for you to create a tuned file.

My car is a 2006 BMW 130i with the following modification.

• BMW Performance Exhaust
• BMW Performance Intake

My choices for my remap are as follows.

• Rev limit raise – Yes – I want a 7,200rpm rev limiter.
• Top Speed Limit removal – Yes
• Linear Throttle Map
• CEL removal – No CEL removal, my car has the original catalyst and I have no plans to remove them.

I always run it on 97 fuel
********************************

Hopefully it will not take very long!

P.S. The read of my car took 25mins, wasn´t that bad and didn´t use any battery tender/charger. All went fine, but have to admit I was nevous all the time.

Probably would be prudent to get one for the writing portion of the tune, as a half written tune when the car dies could result in a bricked ECU.

I understand write is actually faster so I would be just fine. Maybe the msv80 is slower

My write was pretty slow.

As an amusing comparison, the E46 M3 writes in about 20 seconds.

My writes have taken anywhere from 10-20 minutes on average. Usually towards the latter of that range. The original read took at least 45 minutes, Although this is AA not evolve.

My read took 25 minutes. but the 130i uses MSV70 DME, and 128i uses MSV80. that may be part of the reason.

I doubt AA is the limiting factor. Our ECU is possibly the slowest one ever fitted to a production car.
