For those that aren't e90 owners yet, when do you plan to buy one? Or are there plans to buy at all?
Personally, I have numerous friends with e90's & drive them whenever they let me. My plan has always been to get an e92 (335) or M3. So I will be buying within the year if the 335 is powerful enough and if we actually hear something on the coupes in my lifetime |

I'm graduating from college in May, and hope to be making the purchase of an E90 soon thereafter. I bounce around week to week about what car I want next, but the only cars that I really stick with are the E90 and Saab 9-3. Now that Saab has made it where you have to get the V6 to get navigation or anything, they are off my list... I will not own a "V" style engine. (well maybe a V12 )

E90 w/ ZSP E46 w/ ZHP Infiniti G35 Audi A4 2.0T w/ S line package and chip it Subaru Legacy GT and chip it Dodge Charger SRT-8 (least likely) I am coming from an unrefined raw powered Mustang GT. It’s super fun to drive straight, but lacks refinement big time. It’s actually decent on the curves because of my suspension modifications. I have a young child and another one on the way so I want four doors. However, I don’t want to give up driving a fun car. Fuel economy is also slightly more important to me that it used to be. I’ve been to the drag strip many times with my mustang, but I don’t plan on doing so with the new car. I just want something that has ample “useable” power on the street without having to rev the heck out of the engine. It appears the 330i makes decent power, however, it’s pretty high in the rpm band. The G35 made great power down low and in the mid-range, but I’m not hung up the exterior. Obviously the Charger SRT-8 would be a blast, but I’m not crazy about getting 12-14 mpg all time. I want power and luxury for $40K. Not too many cars fit in this category. Infiniti is going to unveil the 2007 G35 this spring and I’d like to wait to check that one out. I have a feeling the BMW 335 will be too expensive if it becomes a reality. |

I stongly disagree. I though for along time that Lexus (new) IS is car for me and even had $1k deposit on it... untill I tried one. Car is sort of personal accessory, so you can not take one with eyes closed. Having said that, if you're looking for 335i, it is no point to try 330i.

I once saw a guy prang an MR2 turning onto the street out of the lot--he floored it and lost the back end into a parked car.
