Doesn't look to bad to me. Just a poor quality photo. I like it!!! Obviously, this is the color BMW has chosen to show the car mostly in. Bet the same color is in the brochures.

Can anyone tell if the 3rd brake light is in the base of the rear window on the package shelf, or if its all the way in the back of the car in the rear trunk lid?

It's nothing too fancy, but it isn't dull either. I'd like to see it in a better quality photo. This must have been from last weeks "internal" event. I was hoping they would do something different than the 3 and 5 door ones, those I never did like.

I like the back end. The taillights are perfect and the car has a nice overall stance. It confirms what the gas station shots were suggesting in terms of the car's overall appearance.

If you look closely there maybe a thin LED strip across the top lip of the trunk. It's hard to tell for sure, but it doesn't like there is anything on the rear deck for the light.

Yeah, most likely it's a cellcam so no wonder. Uhm, could this be from the
BMW shindig that bigwigs were invited to? It looks like a photo studio with scrim and standlights.

I was right on the taillights...very much like upside-down 7'ers.

It looks to me like this was taken at a photo shoot or something due to the white floor and background and the bright lights reflecting off the car.

As previously mentioned, the 535i does not have the dual exhaust like the 335i (coupe & sedan). So far the 3-Series appears to be the only N54 model with the dual exhaust.

I think you're right. I've put this through i-photo on my Mac and I can't get it clearer than the original.

I think the exterior color and the poor lighting is hiding it. It is not visable in the rear window, top or bottom.

Looks to me like the lights are on w. brakelights lit up...it's showtime...you'd think the unit
would be visible if it were inside the back window...so, it probably is integrated into the trunklid. If so, nice touch.
One thing that matte colored difuser does is cut the visual bulk of rear bumper. I'm beginning to understand why they used it.

The car does have a dual exhaust outlets and, with the presence of the twin-turbos on the 135i, I would imagine the system is a true dual exhaust. Additionally, the absence of lights on the trunk lid is a very good thing (i.e. decrease repair/replacement costs and make modification a billion times easier).

Nothing really shocking here. Any amount of imagination could have derived this from spy shots. However, I love the color, and the overall stance that the car has. Put it at the right place and they have me.
