Serious question then, if these scoops can't/don't increase intake pressure, how do we explain ram air intakes like those found on the G35/7 and Trans Am?

Ram air is a real phenomenon. The problem is there isessentially no way to ever test it on a dyno because it is caused by the air forced in the intake by the car physically going down the road through the air. Would these scoops help this a bit? Possibly. The real question is whether the intake in stock form is ram air enough already that the scoops do nothing. So in all the scoops probably help a little but I would think not much. Probably worth doing as a homemade dit, but I wouldn't spend $100 on pre made ones.

Interesting video. Allthough it is pretty much mythbusted you can very much see that airflow does matter.

New one from a few weeks ago just happens to be another good example.

Pay attention at 17:15. After the several runs the Haltech expert even says the two horsepower (really about 2.8, and that's out of 177, so ~1.5%) was negligible. On an NA engine.

They're also independently verifying changes with a wideband and their ECU's signals later in the video (~20:15). Nice touch.

Not a perfect test, but at least you can see someone else pointing to the irrelevance of minor changes and talking about why.

Axiom, there's really no point in measuring a temperature difference of barely 3-4F at the air temp sensor well into the intake tract when you cannot verify ambient temp at the actual inlet and record them simultaneously. You post another picture showing 10F, but it is further cherry picking from an unknown data set. A drive cycle can easily have variations much more than that. Without an understanding of what you are testing and being honest with how accurate and precise you can hope your measurements to be it's going to be difficult to dissuade your own motivated reasoning and confirmation bias from taking hold. I'd suggest taking a course in philosophy of science.

Kobe: until he has a blower the size of a windtunnel that can produce pressure across the entire face of the radiator that test is really moot. And with the hood closed, and negative pressure in the engine bay and under the car... It's an irrelevant test and very, very silly. As one of the comments even pointed out he holds the blower close to the scoop side. You could reproduce it on the non-scoop side if you pointed it up a bit into the well, not that it proves anything.
