Never knock a 125. I was coming onto the front straight at Morgan Park (Warwick) a few years ago and was behind some young bloke called "C. Stoner", who was on a friend's 125. My ZX9R just annihilated him down the straight and I had a huge lead coming into turn one! He still managed to; catch me into the corner, pass me around the outside and disappear off into the distance...

Mate, i havent even tried that... Im too scared too!
I know that its got more than enough power to just snap the throttle to bring it up, no requirement to clutch it up... |

Jeff, for easy front wheel mono fun, buy a naked v-twin like what I have. Plenty of low down torque, and not as much weight on the front bar. I have accidentally done a few monos off the traffic light. Lol. I am scared too cos I am inexperienced in that and am worried I will loop. I think we all ought to go to stunt school to learn!
Btw, if you are still interested in the Brutale, you should check out the Streetfighter. I am kinda regretting not waiting for the Streetfighter now. I still love the looks of the Monster more, but the SF sounds like a beast in it's performance! Anyone wants to buy an almost brand new Monster 1100??? Lol |

That is exactly what I would be getting if I get another bike, same colour scheme and all but with Akras thrown in. Love it! I sold my Streetfighter today (yeah I bought one days after the post above last year), so I have room. Except I just bought a new Porsche without telling the missus so I don't have any brownie points left.
What did you ride before the S1000RR btw? For those who don't know anything about this bike, you must have been hiding under a rock or are not into bikes lol. This is the bike that is causing a lot of pain to the Jap 4 (Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha) because it is priced like a Jap bike but with more performance. How about 142kw and 14,200rpm red line? Oh yeah, check this out...http://www.ausmotive.com/2010/02/23/...ooks-like.html |

Mike, go with a basic Honda VTR250. Btw, isn't NSW LAMS? If it is, go for the Honda CB400. Very good learner bike, and you can use it after getting your full license without getting bored either.

Just looked up on the RTA - NSW is LAMS, CB400 is on the list. Thanks dude. Gives me something to play with while I wait for the 135 to arrive.

Would seriously love one, but I don't think my wife will ever let me. I have tried to put it on the table many times , especially now the initial period of my life insurance has lapsed - I can pick up new hobbies .
