Looks good Chris. I had three Honda fours before my current 9 year old ZX9R. CB550F, CBR1000F & CBR900. Maybe I should think about upgrading...?

Here is mine that I bought a couple of weeks ago, a Ducati Monster 1100. And Jeff, you told me you wanted a MV Brutale so what are you lecturing Kris about huh?

Looks good Way, but you need some Termi's on that bad boy! My Dad used to have one, but didn't appreciate it when I'd bring it back with the pegs all scraped!!

Thanks Breville. I am waiting for it to run in before getting the Termis. Ducati won't install it until you have done the 1000km service.
As for Kris' bike, I am assuming he bought it from an interstate dealer... |

Not as big as yours Kris (so to speak), but I got this for my son last year from Melbourne (bikes were cheaper there).
Seeing as I have a financial interest in the bike, we share... |

I'm 58 and sorry mate, counting the cost of (2 kids * private schools) for 12 years, I'm done.
Often think that I may have had an Aston or Lambo in the garage by now without the kids but C'est la vie!, would not have changed a thing, it's still been worth every penny. |

Hrm, you guys are making me want to get a set of two wheels again.
I almost bought myself another GSXR when I came back from Philip Island last year, it's been six years since I threw a leg over a bike |

I'm hoping to make the pilgrimage to P.I. this year for the GP. Riding down from Brisbane. 'Hoping to also do the trackday after the GP - knowing that the bike's got to be in good enough nick to ride back home the day after Any other takers?

hey Guys,
oldman, nice mate! Honda's are great! Duncan, yeah I brought it from QLD. Cheaper My poor old 135 isn't getting too much use! The Fireblade is just insane... duck your head behind the screen and just nail it in 6th gear - the feeling is amazing, it just builds speed like a rocket ship |

Kris, so good to hear you are enjoying it! I hardly drive these days when I am on my own. I just take the bike (or the 3 wheeler scooter if I am putting around the city). I have not ridden the new Fireblade, but what's it like around town? Plenty of torque down low? I am guessing it would be pretty good unlike some of the older stuff. Can't wait to see the BMW S1000RR!
TimMC, I am in if I am in town. But I only need to ride from Melbourne which isn't very far! MattyV, I also haven't owned a proper bike for a few years until I got the Monster 1100. I have been riding around in a couple of different scooters though in that time. Scooters are fantastic in the city, much better than bikes. But once you are out of the city, forget it! Oldman, should have bought that Lambo and Aston before you had the kids like I did! lol Aus135i, RS125 is a rocketship for a 125! You just need to have balls to hold it at crazy revs all the time lol. |
