How To Code Cruise Control with Braking?

Anyone know how is to code Cruise Control with Braking Function?

The corresponding option number is $544. I updated my cars VO with that and removed the normal cruise control option number ($540). Then coded all the modules but the braking function isn't working (i believe car should brake if going downhill to maintain speed - only the normal cruise is working)

Or do i need additional parts? I just have the regular cruise control installed.

Is this the same thing as adaptive cruise control where the breaking is automatic?

No this one is the step in between (i think). Option code 544 is just labelled as "Cruise control with braking"... As far as ive read, it's just supposed to apply the brakes when you going down hill, ie when the speed increases from what you set it.

i know the adaptive cruise control will require at least the radar sensors in the front bumper

I've noticed that when adding the cruise control speed to the memory, that when I resume the saved speed, if I am going faster than the speed that is saved, the car tends to slow down a lot faster than if I was just to let go of the accelerator. I didn't know there was an option to remove it. o.O

For anyone reading this in the future i think i figured why it didn't work.

Apparently on a four cylinder car only the standard cruise control is offered, but as an option. This is SA540.

And on a 6 cylinder car, the dynamic cruise control is offered and is standard for all cars (this is the cruise control with braking function). This is SA544.

So it looks like if you have a 6 cylinder car, good news - go ahead and code your car with SA544 and it should work, but unfortunately it looks like its unavailable on the 4 cylinder cars

Unless of course i just coded it wrong haha
