Police scanner in the 1M!

Tonight I was playing around with my menus trying to sync my iPhone music into my 1M. I had it working previously, but I just got the iCloud iTunes match service that lets me access my entire music library on any device, and my music stopped syncing from my iPhone to the car. I deleting the bluetooth profiles on the car and phone, and re-paired them and it works. I did figure out if I physically plug in my phone to the USB, it loses the ability to sync music via bluetooth even when I unplug it from the car, and have to delete and re-pair them to get it to work again.

Anyway, I just got this cool iPhone app called "50-Radio Pro", which is effectively a police/fire/emergency scanner that lets you listen in on virtually any part of the country (or world even). It even shows a satellite map of the location of the actual calls. The cool thing is the app will send the audio into the 1M via bluetooth, and you can listen to the police scanner through the radio!

It's kind of an eye-opener when you live in the middle of a city like Houston! Let's just say I'm glad I'm well-armed!

Damn...I live in the only STATE which makes CCW illegal, but I do have two licenses for all other States except MI I may have to download that App.

Yah but unless you have a code book beside you its hard to interpret all the numbers!!

The software has all of the police codes displayed for the specific location you're scanning, and you really don't need them much. There's a lot of plain English dialog. The bad guys also seem to have a preference foe white Nike's!

Yeah I hate when you plug it in and it loses the bluetooth audio until you delete and repair. Is there any easier way than that?

No..it's a police/emergency scanner. Completely different.
