I will update everyone as soon as i hear the news! the bov kit may be out prior to december, but in december news about the exhaust and other plans (secret right now) will be released. As chris said, they are going to bypass some of the intermediate mods and go from the bolt ons to full on stage kits!

I hope that's not the case, but I guess that's only a month away anyway.

That's great news. I'm not on the market for an exhaust anyway, just the fmic + charge pipe + bov. Keep us updated

I read through this, and I might have missed it, so please be gentle with me if I did, LOL. Is there going to be a DV option on this?

Thanks!

Bump!

I'm almost ready to jump on the FMIC if it's confirmed that the new HPF piping makes use of the integrated factory c-clip couplers. I'm not really in a position to ship my FMIC back to HPF to have the new inlet and outlet beaded flanges put on, even if it is free lol.

From what I can see and been told by HPF the Charge pipe/ BOV kit will only work with the Silicone coupler version of the FMIC.
This might be due to the fact that when upgrading to stage2 or above the FMICs connects will change.

I think they are going to move to the beaded weld because it looks like new intercooler piping. The c clip would only be used with the stock piping.

Thanks for providing the pic Diego. Has anybody got a pic of their HPF FMIC with stock intercooler piping? I'm at crossroads as what to do. Not sure if I should jump on the HPF FMIC and get the ER charge pipe and BOV. I'm really digging this full HPF setup though.

I have a few questions...

1. Can we purchase the HPF fmic with the upgraded Silicone coupler version connection that will work with the replacement HPF intercooler piping? - meaning we can buy the fmic now and purchase the rest of the kit later without having to send the fmic back for the welding.

2. Will there be a choice of BOV being offered and will this be welded into your HPF charge pipe?

3. What is the advantages of your upgraded piping from the FMIC? I see there is still a sharp 90 degree bend from the outlet of the fmic which is a very similar design to stock. Is the only advantage increased diameter? If so, how much bigger is it?

Spoke with JP/Dave/Chris at HPF today, here is an official update for those folks out there:

Mineo77: Do you know if HPF can weld on a specific BOV to their charge pipe, eg the HKS?

HPF: <Still in the development phase. Synapse is the proposed BOV>

Mineo77: Do you know any more info about the intercooler piping? Is it wider in diameter?

HPF: <3" piping will be used. This is slightly larger and higher flowing than the stock N54 piping>

So keep your pants on, a release date will come...and we all know HPF rep of top-notch products and service!

Question:
Since this is a VTA Blow Off valve design, what will compensate for pipe losses?

Won't there be a slight turbo lag for the pressure to built up again?

Thanks for the answers Mineo77. Can you please ask them if we can purchase the existing FMIC with upgraded silicone connections for the soon to be released piping? This way I can purchase the FMIC now and upgrade the piping and charge pipe later on.

So they are making the charge pipe with only 1 flange type for the Synapse? That doesnt leave many options for people who would prefer a different BOV. I agree that the Synapse is the best performing one out there right now but still people like myself like options! haha " Thats not enough DAD, what if I want wings?"
