I dont know if i did right, Yesterday i bought Federal 595 RSR for my rear tires 245/35/18, this model are semislick. I am keeping the front with OEM tires runflat bridgestone potenza. In conclution, i have runflat in the front and non runflat semislick at the rear tires. I didnīt change the front ones because they still have 70% of life. I will appreciate your oppinion about having runflat in the front and regular semislick at the rear tires and also if anybody has tried this tires, please share experience. Later on i will post some pictures.

Not a good idea to mix run flats on 1 axle and non run flats on another axle. It will throw off the suspension geometry and the car may do some unexpected things since the front run flats will not allow the side wall to roll at all and the rears may roll. All in all not a great idea. I'm running non run flats now but on all 4 corners. I'm noticing the car is slopier and that is due to the fact that the stock dampening is tuned for the very stiff run flats! So like most people I will eventually be upgrading my suspension with new dampners and m3 roll bar.
Hope that helps

All I can say, it will not end well. You are never suppose to mix tires at all. But hey....it's your money, do what you want. But the cheap, easy route is never the route to go.

Like others have already mentioned, we highly recommend that you get the same tires for the front wheels even if it has 70% tread life left. Having the same tires on all four corners will allow for the tires to work as intended by the manufacturer.

you can mix with front and rear but not left or right. these tires are great performance tires in cheaper price, but they are not semislick, they are high summer performance, which the performance is around Nitto NT05. They are great for Track and daily, but if you are just using them for daily, you should get something like hankook evo v12 or sumitomo HTR Z III, they are in great price with alot of tires thread, for all season, I recommend the Bridgestone RE970AS, they are a little bit pricey, but good performance with alot alot thread.

Yeah those are an Extreme Summer performance tire, not an R compound.

Your car is going to understeer pretty badly with the stock tires up front and those in the rear, just spend the extra $250-300 for another two federals.

The problem is that they don't come in 215/40/18, only come in 225/40/18
http://www.federaltire.com/en/images/products/20120711232529671.pdf
Is it ok if i do 245/35/18(rear) and 225/40/18(front)? Considering that i have the oem M wheels.

I appreciate all the comments!

I guess you haven't seen the threads and talk about upping the size of the these tires to 225/40 front and 255/35 rear? It will be find. Lots of people even get them up to 245 fronts I believe. I just did the 225/255 upping on my '12 135i with the OEM 18" M wheels and they are completely fine.

Just upgrading the fronts will be fine. You will have better grip on the front because of the bigger sized tire.
