That looks like an abandoned insane asylum that has lights on because it's a scary place. Nice photos.

Just wondering, I know these are long exposures, but by any chance do you have a streak filter on your lens as well? some of the shots almost look like anamorphic natural lens flares, but then again, it could just be from the long shutter speed.

Either way, amazing pics you've captured here

The only filter I had installed at the time was a UV filter, mostly to protect the lens. The anamorphic flares and streaks I think were from the long exposures. Shutter speed was anywhere between 3.5 - 5 seconds. The lens kept getting wet, because it was slightly raining, and I kept having to wipe it off... so that could have been a culprit if any oil ended up on the lens. Either way, thank you!! They were a lot of fun to take.

Nice shots and great work! I generally never see lightning in automotive shoots. Try doing one exposure for the lightning and another exposure of your car and background. Smash them together in photoshop and it'll come out much cleaner.

I actually wasn't going to shoot the car originally. I was going to shoot fireworks over the skyline and they got canceled due to the storm, so I stuck around and photographed the lightening. On the way back to the car I had the idea of getting the car in some of the shots. I like your idea about the two exposures. I will try that during the next storm that rolls through. The trick is being right in the middle of the storm, but not being affected by it. Right place at the right time sort of thing. I was pretty lucky with the timing of this shoot.
