I can't turn off my high beams...
So when I have the auto beams on, it goes straight to the high beams with low beams at night...
When I have the manual low beams on, it still goes straight to high beams and the low beams doesn't turn on. And when i turn on the high beams manually with the stalk, it just turns on the rest of the high beams that gives it a higher vertical range...I was wondering if this could be a coding thing the previous owner did or is there something wrong with the light system? I got stock adaptive xenons and currently the only other problem is that my right turn indicator is out. Last edited by killerhurtalot; 08-02-2015 at 01:39 AM.. |

on Bi-xenon headlights the low beam pattern is controlled by a shroud inside the projector (the cutoff). For high beams the shroud is articulated out of the way. So the low beams and the high beams use the same bulb and the same projector.

is there any way of lowering the shroud even more? I think it's because the shroud is too high up and still shining into oncoming traffic's eyes lol.

You're leveling sensor may be off on the front control arm. They are usually what send the signal to the motors in the headlights to auto adjust to ground you are on. Maybe check to make sure the leveling rod is still connected.
I think, there may be a way to manually bring it down too, but I can't say for sure. It's been a little while since i've messed with manually leveling the headlights in these cars. |
