Will 4 tires fit in the backseat/trunk?
Question in the title... Anyone try hauling 4 track tires/wheels in tire covers in the back with the seats folded down?

I've fit 4 wheels and 4 unmounted tyres into my 135i with the backseat folded down and also using the front passenger seat. It's a very snug fit but it works. Saved me making 2 trips to the workshop when I had them fitted.

Thanks!
I just got home from my 4th autocross event in my 135. People are starting to walk up to me and ask about the car even though it's still stock I was ready to make the switch to Dunlop Star Specs... but I saw a set of style 264 wheels for sale locally for under 500$. Was thinking maybe I should pick that up and mount some Hoosier A6s on them...

DO IT! And get that damn front sway bar already! Star Specs are great for a daily driver, and work well in Street Touring classes where you have to run street tires. But for autocrossing in stock, A6 are worth considerable time more than Star Specs as long as you can afford them and a spare set of rims. BTW - it's a tough squeeze getting all four to fit, but it can be done. I use tirerack.com's tire wraps combined with large, round pieces of cardboard so I don't make a mess of the wheels and the interior.

tire totes.. 4 tires in back seat (2x255, 2x275) standing up, side-by-side. No putting down the folding seats, and you still have your entire trunk for your other track goodies.
