After a 20 minute flash off time , 2 coats of Glasurit High Soilds Clear are applied....

After that flashes off for about 5 minutes the booth is put into it's 40 minute bake cycle....temperature is set to 140 degrees....

When the bake cycle is over the vehicle is allowed to cool for a hour or so more...

at this point reassembly can begin again....

This is really cool to see. I'd have been really tempted to paint one Monte Carlo Blue, of course.

Thanks for all the cool comments....I'm glad some of you think that this is amazing work...And for the most part it is amazing to see the process of how something goes from being wrecked to being on the road again....
This is the type of work that every shop should do though.....I didnt give this project anymore attention than I do to customers cars....every vehicle goes thru the same repair steps and gets the same attention to details..

When every step is done the right way You always get a really nice finished product....

Is the stock BMW paint the same as you are using (water based)? Glasurit

I wonder if a car could be repainted with older, less environmentally friendly paints that are more durable and impact resistant.

-fondly remembering the paint that was on my old 90's and early 00's VWs
