Will a E82 125i 2011 mid-muffler back exhaust fit on a E88 N54 135i 2008?

Just a quick question, pretty much entirely encapsulated in the title. I'm considering buying a second hand mid-muffler back quad exhaust which was fitted to a E82 125i 2011, for my E88 135i 2008 (n54).

I wanted to know (a) if this will fit, and (b) if "mid muffler back" retains the stock mid-pipe catalytic converter?

Thanks,
Will

all e82/e88 exhausts are interchangeable so yes, it will bolt up

axle back is muffler portion and a small bit of piping

midpipe connects downpipes to axelback, the midpipe is also where the secondary cats are on the n54 (along with a resonator)

*you may already have this covered but with a quad exhaust you will also need a new rear bumper or diffuser as the stock exhaust is single outlet/driver's side. post pics or link if you are still unsure

Sure, I'm considering buying this: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1307636

I have catless downpipes, but would like to retain the midpipe cats.

glad you posted, it looks like the axleback section (piece wrapped in black with tips) will NOT fit the stock 135i midpipe because it requires the midpipe to have 2 outlets. Our stock midpipe has only 1 outlet, see here:

if you get the diffuser he is selling and utilize his midpipe as well you should be good but using the stock catted midpipe with this particular quad exhaust doesn't seem possible

Thanks!

I thought as much - that'd fit from the DP's back. Shame, I love the look of quad exhaust (and ~$800AUD is what I'm looking at spending on a good CF Diffuser).

I think I'll pass - the way I drive (which attracts attention), it'd only be a matter of time before I get put off the road for having a loud exhaust without any cat's.
