color decision

My car is a week 42 production so I am under the impression the color can still be changed .. I currently have BSM as my color but now am considering the color that at first was out of question for me which was VO, but now im actually considering it. Anyone wanna try and convince me of a certain color and bring up valid points. I know at the end of the day this is my decision and it just needs to float my boat and no one else's but regardless I would like peoples insight on this.

Chris

EDIT: Basically my idea for this thread is tell me why you picked the color you picked.

I got a car off the lot (original person who ordered it didn't want it).

It is VO, but personally now that I have seen it in person I wouldn't have changed it.

BTW all this confusion was caused by JJSchmooze's car and how damn good it looked in that one picture he posted up lowered and with spacers. So JJSchmooze if you see this THANKS lol your car looks great. I am also from Jersey .. Maybe seeing your car in person would facilitate my decision.

Was in the same boat mate.

Ordered BSM, changed to VO and then changed back to BSM.

I was lucky enough to see all three colours before I was committed and I made the right choice in the end (for me).

What made me change back to BSM was seeing VO under a dull grey cloudy sky (which we get quite a lot here in Blighty) and VO was too dull for me. To my eyes it lost it's Oranginess.

However under the sun and showroom lighting VO is the BEST colour!

I have personally seen a BSM 1m and own a VO 1m. I was a little apprehensive at first ordering a orange car but the color absolutely blew my mind when it came off the truck. The color is super dynamic and changes in all lighting conditions. Yes in dull light it takes on more of a copperish hue but that just adds to the paint color IMO. When it is sunny out nothing looks better and the comments I have gotten from every single person who has seen the car is usually first about how much they love the paint color and that when i originally told them i bought an orange car they thought I was an idiot. Haven't met one person who didn't like the color although im sure one will come along but it does get praised quite often for how unique and amazing the color really is.

I have this great photo of all three parked on a track somewhere and I don't know how to upload it. Can someone tell me? It's in my iphoto.

I guess it worked. This is how I felt better about my decision.

BSM to me is the best looking in person, I was most WOWed by BSM when I saw it in person (it did happen to be the 1st 1M I had seen though). I know I cant maintain BSM to my picky expectations (or it would take way too much of my time).

definetly AW because it's a clean color and so classy as the BB but with BB you have to clean it almost everyday , and VO it's nice but looks kind of exotic to me, so AW i said.

another great photo of all three parked

The VO is without a doubt a color that pops and will get people attention and admiration. I myself am drawn to it. However, I couldn't have it as a DD color bc i could see my self getting tired of the color after a couple years. AW looks nice on the 1M as well but I am just not a fan of white cars. I think the BSM has the most aggressive stance among all three colors and I have always wanted to own a black car, and the 1M looks great in black. SO I chose the BSM.

Also I think majority of the 1M's worldwide will be VO followed by AW and BSM will be the least in number. So I figure my BSM will be even more exclusive than a VO or AW

If you can live with black paint (I can't deal with the scratches) then go for it, it is very hot in BSM.
I was torn between VO and AW, went with VO and I'm a little disappointed. Had it about a month and the weather has been a suckfest so the car has been Copperish most of the time

I ultimately went with BSM because although I like the VO I think I would tire of it and there are all of a sudden a lot of orange cars driving around.

I couldn't do white, because I would look like Barbie in that car.

If I already had a black car maybe I would feel different.

I picked black, because they didn't offer it in Laguna Seca Blue. Which would have been so special. Too bad this one didn't come in BMW individual...... we could have had any color we wanted..... for a price.

It would have been a hard choice if the three colors included LSB, Imola Red.

i love the VO on sunny days (like others have mentioned), but to me the black looks a little more aggressive. i don't really look forward to keeping a black car clean again (this is another area where VO would be kind of nice), but i would also get tired of the VO after a while. plus it appears there are less BSM's ordered compared to the VO's (look at ///Metak's registry sticky and the google spreadsheet he put together).

Dakar yellow....there's a pic of one on here somewhere.

Go with your first choice and don't look back. I'm gonna paint my wheels BSM and have VO accents (grill/gills), so I can enjoy all three.

VO looks great but would draw more attention than I would want. BSM too hard to keep clean. AW then, by default.

VO or AW. I turned down 3-4 BSM 1Ms. I think it just looks too bland. And come on all the cars you see on the road are either Black, Dark Blue, or Silver. Be a little different!

I have a Millenium Yellow Corvette and have experienced first hand what the increased visibility advantage it affords law enforcement running in the sea of Grey/Silver/Black cars on SoCal freeways.

That is why we chose BSM, for it's stealth properties.
