Pirate, I have been running a Drexler LSD with 3.46 (for a couple of months now) but the principle remains the same.
The mechanical LSD doesn't interfere with the e-diff at all and vice versa. What happens is that the e-diff will only come into play when the mechanical LSD get to it's limit and the wheels start spinning. This is when the e-diff will start doing its work. Think of this as a double LSD, one mechanical and one electronic. It works perfectly for me and I see no reason to turn off the e-diff. Of course you still need to turn off all the DSC/DTC as per usual in order to activate the e-diff. |

It's very stealth, but it's there. It's our black ceramic coated exhaust. Not quite available to the public, but will be soon. 3" downpipes, dual resonated 2.5" midpipes, and the rear section.
And here's what it looks like without the ceramic coating. A little more noticable, but still looks like an OEM BMW exhaust. And you guys didn't notice the 3" downpipes? Hehe  The cat's outta the bag now..... |

What would he be looking for? Beyond tint or street lighting, I don't know of any mods that could get you ticketed.

Nice to see the Quaife in action!
I prefer to see the car in the second photo! All that power is going to the ground, not up in smoke! |

With the Quaife/HP Autowerks LSD in, that inside rear wheelspin went away (of course), and I still feel no electronic intervention. |
