What is everyone paying for their 135iS?

What kind of lease deals is everyone paying for a 135is?

I didn't lease, but I paid way, way under invoice price. It may depend on your market and the dealer(s) in your area. The ones in my area are owned by the same company, and they wouldn't budge on price (wanted MSRP!). I ended up going about an hour away to another dealer and have no regrets.

Don't pay MSRP

I figured when the 135is came out that dealers would try to demand MSRP or even add a surcharge. When pricing my 135is, I was surprised that the dealer offered me around three thousand below sticker...and that was just asking for the dealer's best price up front. Ultimately, I was eligible for BMW's overseas military purchase program, which offered a slightly better price, so I went that route. Good luck!

Right now I'm in a serious debate over which car to get. I really want a new one just because of the added maintenance program 6yr/100k miles. I would go with the 128i but I've only had turbo cars (300zx TT / 04 STI / 05 WRX ) and wondering if I might regret it later, but then I don't know if I should be spending that much on the car lol. I'm relatively young and impulsive which sucks.. Admitting it is the first step to recovery.

Now for how much it will cost. With a down payment the 135is will come out to about half what I make a year. Should I not even be looking at it?

I realize this isn't a financial advisers forum, but I'm just looking for opinions. I'm not sure how much you all make a year but you seem to be happy with your purchases.

One of the dumb things about the 128i is in order to get Xenon lighting you need the premium package. Where as the 135i/is you can get those separately. Or am I wrong on that?

Thanks for any advice/opinions. Also apologies if I should have just created a new thread for this.

I am young (20) and impulsive as well haha. I bought a 2010 135i and it is slightly below half of what I make a year, but I bought it anyways because that is what i worked hard for! Sometimes, life is too short to give up on something you love! I financed the car for a 5 year period and people will give me shit for this, but I would rather pay small payments monthly than deplete my cash every month.

128i is a hell of a car, you can enjoy that car on the streets more than a 135i because you won't have a massive amount of hp/tq to get you in trouble everytime you floor it. And it feels much lighter to throw around as well. Xenon's come as standard equipment on the 135i. Hope this helps!

You can add Xenons to a 128 for 800$ (Do it!) and you can upgrade to "M" sport to get the better body kit for another 1500 or so? Or did they up it to 2000?

When you add Xenon to the 128i it automatically adds premium package.

However I think I'm going with 135is. No premium package on it but everything else is and comfort access option. 48k was their offer. Waiting to hear back if they can do 47k then it's a done deal.

That is high, I paid way under that price and my 135is has every option.

Here's my configuration on bmwusa.
http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte...tionId=3291626

I was judging my price on truecar.com
http://www.truecar.com/prices-new/bm...ColorId=933114

This is my first new car purchase and not sure a good price for these so I was using whatever research tools I could find.

Been doing alot of negotiating and currently my best offer is at $47.7k fully loaded 135is. Comes to a little over 52k after taxes and fees. Judging from truecar this sounds like a pretty good deal. Has anyone been able to negotiate in the extra 2yr/50k miles maintenance program? HAHA. I wonder.

Paid well under invoice. Had to travel a bit to do it, but it can be done.

Is the $47.7k the out-the-door price?

I ordered a 135is (DSB, black leather/blue stitch, premium, HK sound, 6MT, but no tech). MSRP $48620, Truecar invoice $45355, Truecar average paid $46758. The agreed price was $47150 plus taxes/fees which brings the total to $51K and change. I am getting $750 loyalty rebate from there. I'm sure I'm paying a bit more than I should be but feel ok about it. This was going to just one dealer, with them accepting my initial offer (I knew at that point I should have offered less).

Next time around I'll do more online research up front and get quotes from various dealers via email etc. This order was somewhat unexpected as I thought I'd be able to get my current car fixed at a BMW shop in Miami, but it turned out that the repairs were going to cost about as much as the car is worth so I decided to drive on up to Fort Lauderdale that day and order a new one instead. My current car has intermittent low oil pressure and not sure how much longer it will last so wanted to go ahead and get a new one ordered quick.

Doesn't sound like a bad deal, so nothing to beat yourself up about! A local dealer offered me about the same below sticker, and from there I could have applied a USAA discount whereas you got the loyalty discount. While money is money...someone ALWAYS seems to get a better deal and at the end of the day a couple hundred dollars or even a grand may not be worth it if the buying experience was poor or you spent an inordinate amount of your time to get the incremental savings.

Please post pictures to the "135is Owners Show Us Your Cars" thread when you get your ride!

Just start negotiating at $1k (or more) under invoice see what they say. Then see where you can settle on a price.
Do this at several dealers and buy from the one that gives you the best deal.

I feel pretty good about the price now. Plus trading in 15k, should save me roughly 1500 in taxes.

I'll definitely post pics to that thread - my vehicle is currently being transported to Bremerhaven so I'm hoping to see it in another 6 weeks or so!

I feel like it was an ok deal although by no means the best I could have done with more advance research and visits to multiple dealers. As you say though, there is some value to convenience as well. I was on a fairly tight time schedule with my work schedule in Key West, so I'm glad I was able to order the exact car I wanted and get at least a decent deal done at the first dealer I visited.
