Have you considered a cheaper N54 engine cover? or CF OEM intake cover? Those are smaller items and would require a much smaller simpler mold than a LIP or diffuser. Both those items have an easily castible shape and would require little R&D to adapt to Carbon Fiber.

Those parts would apply to all N54 engined cars, 335I, 135i, 535i and Z4 35is. I could see them being particularly popular on e90 post.

The ER engine cover is the only one on the market and is priced around $250. Its a nice piece but it just doesn't hit the price point most people want to pay for an engine cover. With making the parts over seas, it might be possible for you to get the cover down to $100-120 which would move a lot of units.

I have a 2009, but just for reference, chinese CF mirrors for these from ebay are 99 dollars, autotechnik(german) are 150, and BMW performance are like 500 xD.
The ebay CF Mirrors are overlays and the BMW performance mirrors are replacements. The overlays are not bad but they do not fit nearly as well as the direct replacements. Up close they look very different but from 5 feet away look nearly identical.

Same with EBAY CF interior kits. Those kits are overlays which you double sided tape over your existing interior kit. The bmw performance interior kit is a direct replacement which you instal.

This is actaully a pretty damn good idea IMO. Considering the cross platform capability and the coolness factor of having one. Thumbs up!

True.. I have already had a few ideas for non-automotive and even automotive non-bmw/universal parts. I would really LOVE if everything I made would help the enthusiast community though. One idea is a roof rack. It's universal across almost all cars (only the connectors are different). Companies sell basic metal roof racks for over 300 bucks. I can make strong, lightweight, aesthetically pleasing, carbon fiber ones for a similar (probably cheaper) price. I don't know how much 1Addicts interest there would be in roof racks though...

I'm jumping in late on this, but once you guys get started how about a center console replacement? Yea, the whole thing! I love my iPod hook up, but I'd rather have something more minimal in that space.

Oh and how about some matte options for that interior trim? I'm sick to death of gloss.

A center consol replacement would be amazing. I removed my center console to do a trim change and it was pretty clean without it. I hate the creaky arm rest. I could do without it.

+1

Vented hood but "classy" vented hood m3 style-esque.. Just 2 simple vents in the same position as the
M3's hood.. I'd also like a rear diffuser capable of fitting quad exhausts would be awesome, I'm sure theres a way to style it to look good with a single or dual exhaust

It fits, with tape. I wouldn't want to tape an emblem to my car as it could easily fall off.

Edit: I found these, I wonder if the hood piece is the same as 1 series(i think almost all bmw have same hood)
