Wheel Dilemma 325xit sport package
Just got back from the dealer - placed my order for
325xi sport wagon arctic sport xenons i-drive 161 upgrade I'm so excited - was originally thinking about the a3 3.2 quattro until i saw this bad-boy....blows it away. One small dilemma: I really want the sport package -love the sport seats and the larger wheels. The sport package comes with the 17" 159's with all-season tires. I think the 159's are just terrible.... You can upgrade to the 161's (love the look of these) but they have performance tires instead of all-season. Seems silly to have all-wheel drive and tires that are terrible on snow - not to mention I am in the northeast. I know this is discussed elswhere but would love some fresh opinions. The salesmen assured me that the 161's are not true performance tires and are very close to all-weather...no V treads and the like. Is he full of it? Anyone have a similar problem and find a work around short of buying new wheels? |

if financial possible, get winter tires + performance tires
it worths your money w/o sacrificing the AWD power.... which is the reason u buy it in the first place

Did you ask the dealer if he would give you a credit to swap the summer tires that come on the car for all seasons ???? Even if they don't check out tirerack on what a new set of runflat all seasons would cost.........
