Once you get used to the long hood and low driving position they are a great car to drive. Totally different driving experience than the 1er..If it wasnt for just being a 2 seater I would seriously consider in the twin turbo..

Absolute head turner, to the point I had one couple walk up and ask if they could take a pix..Considering it was BSM it looked awesome..

Unfortunately I only had the 3.0 ltr non turbo which was still plenty of power.
So envious of your loaner! When we last asked for a decent loaner, got a bottom-of-the-range X5. But I guess that's better than what some people are getting

Highlighting your post above for the benefit of my other half. In terms of hard-top convertibles, the Z4 is probably the finest on the market right now.

What I do is browse through the dealers "demo" stock on their website a few days before I go in for warranty/service, then call up the Dealer Principle (who it pays to have a good relationship with) and let him know which car I would like as a loaner..

I do like the 320i to be honest. In all, everything except the 116 and 118. Those are the people who buy BMW's for badges OR as a run-around car.

Regarding the 125i, I love it. I do every day. High-revving, 6 cylinder fun and a happy tail to boot.

yay someone who likes 320s

I'm going to personally go in to BMW on friday and ask what cars they have. Also, someone mentioned Ben Turner before. He was / is my SA, but hes moved to sales now. Reckon I have a chance of getting a 1 coupe if i ask? Seeing he's in sales now maybe he can pull some more strings with more cars?

Yeh it's possible to ask for an 'extended' test drive. Depends on whether the SA can afford to give out a demo car for the whole day. Just look for a model they have multiples of.

Definitely. They've been advertising a 135i convertible for a while, so that's available for a loaner. On top of that you do own a 3er, so shouldn't be a prob getting a 123/125/135 coupe.

Hell, at my 15,000km service I was given a 330d for the day. Really enjoyed it and had plenty of punch.

id love a 135 but i cant. I'm.. how you say.. not allowed to drive turbos/supers/ anything cool. then again... who cares for one day.. id love a 135 for a day. Chances of being pulled over are slim.

why dont I push for an M3 while im at it, reckon i can try the "Possible upgrade in a couple of years..."

I'd get the boot out the door most likely.

Thanks. But like I mentioned. It really depends on your relationship with the said dealer or they probably will just laugh at your suggestion.

Your sig says you have an M-sport 125i. Don't you have electric seats with that? Or did I not read sarcasm correctly?

Nope - electric seats are an option with any spec 125i. I have the M Sport 125i as well and manual seats.

no offense to anybody on here..

got a 123d hatch non-sport loaner. apart from a decent engine, it was a piece of s#it. probably wouldve been quite a bit better with msport though.

much happier with my much slower 320i msport. still yet to try a 1coupe though.. when the guy said 123d i was praying for a coupe but no, it wasnt to be.... maybe next time. BMW FKed up again so there definitely will be a next time quite soon.
