DP's now done but have questions...
Hey guys,
Finally did the DP's on my car yesterday. All custom (pics soon) and totally cat-less. Bum dyno LOVES IT Ear dyno as above! Car is just violent DTC going spazzo Car is smelly and i will def install a cat toward the back. 5hr job done and im happy. QUESTIONS; 1. Is this new set up gonna stuff my O2 sensors? i already chucked a code (engine) but it comes and goes not permanent. 2. I have DCI's and full exhaust done, is map 2 (JB4) the best map to run or is there another? 3. Is intercooler really worth replacing? Hanging to compare with someone who has the same set up as me but with the AR DP's! -Elee |

map 5 auto tune, for more details there is a sticky on n54, including the steering wheel controls which you can use to set auto code clear. i keep a printout in the car for handy reference

I'm about to go catless dps too, but having some concerns with the o2 sensors. Fair enough you can clear them with your tune, but if you want to log data, there is no o2 sensor to pick up data

I'm no expert but i thinkyou can still log all that stuff with all the major tunes, all it does is stop the CEL

Wakefield--- no way, not with the way my car handles after switching from RFT's to the soft walls of the Michi pilot super sports. Car handles like a boat. Definitely going to change suspension first!
I found 'that' piece of paper that has all the settings for the JB. |

Mate you should go now and post a pb then go after the mods and see the change in times. It's not about being THE best. It being YOUR best. Like I say to the kids I don't care if you win but I DO expect you to get better each time! |

One of the best quotes I've seen. Terrific little track cars that punch well above their weight with tiny outlay. Mad if you own one and don't let it loose occasionally. Goes double for 1M owners

To add cats he'd probably have to replace the OEM midpipes with aftermarket catted ones.

I'm quite certain has OP an N54 which means he got catless DPs, and has kept his midpipe secondary cats like most of us do.

1. Catless DPs will tend to set off codes since there are no cats changing the composition of gases exiting your exhaust. Not much of a worry with a piggy. 2. No idea about JB4, but you can definitely run higher boost. 3. Get meth instead. I have AR DPs and BMS DCI so I think we're similar.

Yes I have an N54. Removed the cats with the custom midpipes and no cats in the custom DP's I will get these pics up when I get time! Can't wait for next dyno day to compare Jeff. |
