Rubber Mats
I got only the fabric mats when i picked up my 1er and am now looking for non-oem mats for the winter. have taken a look at a couple of mats at Canadian Tire and the Michelin one which is part rubber, part carpet looks good however i just wanted to know if anyone on this forum has had experience with it. I looked at the weathertech option and it's close to $150 which is the OEM price as well.

Get Weather Tech, they are a million times better than BMW floor mats. Worth every penny

I bought these as my winter ones too and the fit is great. I like how they come up around the sides to protect the carpet. Less chance of snow or mud geting under the matt. I would recommend these. |

This is why I am going with the WeatherTech DigitalFit mats. I had them in my STi and loved them. Almost zero wear on them after having the car for 3 years. |

Just installed a set of WeatherTech digital fit mats in our 135 today. They are fairly rigid and slide right into place with a perfect fit. As mentioned, the sides extend upwards for additional protection. Great mats for the upcoming snow & salt that will be in this region soon.

I got a set of fronts last season for like 60 bucks from the local dealer. I was under the impression they were like $150 plus for some reason... rears were like another $30 I think.
I had a friend who didn't get them and the salt ate half his carpet! |

The only thing I don't like about the original BMW rubber mats is that they cause an indent into the carpetting which becomes permanent over time. But maybe I am being a bit too anal. Haha.
Just ordered the weathertech ones. Heard a lot of good review about them. They seem like the full protection with excellent fit. |
