Adding ///M badge in front of 135i...
There has been historical precedent!
all just food for thought - I can only imagine how many feathers this could ruffle... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_M M-Cars vs. M-badged cars There are several BMW models to which BMW Motorsport made changes without being full M-Cars. Vehicles which have been modified by BMW Motorsport but are not full M-Cars may feature plain 'M' badges with no number, whilst full M-Cars have 'M' badges with the model number. E.g. 'M3' or 'M5'. It should be noted however that the Z3/Z4-based M Roadster and M Coupe bore numberless 'M' badges as standard fitment. For example, the E28 M535i featured suspension, styling, and transmission improvements over the standard 535i. These changes were carried out by BMW Motorsport, thus the car carried 'M' stripe badges on the front grille and boot, but not the full 'M5' badging. The E28 M5 was sold along side the M535i. Motorsport modifications have been made to almost every BMW model, hence it is not unusual to see 'standard' BMW's with 'M' badges. |

Ahhh. the 'ole ///M Badge debate. The Motorposrts division adds little M badges to their parts already (wheels, steering wheel, etc.). Since it's not a true M car, and wasn't assembled by the Motorsports division, it shouldn't get a trunk or grill mounted ///M.
The closest thing to the M535i in modern days (in the US) is the ZHP option on the E46. It had the little M badges on the wheels and steering wheel, plus M suspension and motor tweaks, but no body mounted M badge. IMO, putting an M badge on your non-M car is highly poseurish. |

Yeah, a discreet M badge on the grill from the factory to identify a real M-sport pack car would be distinctive. But I'm totally against adding any form of non-factory badge to any car...it just reeks of boy racer rice.

You can if you want but I am actually going to debage my 135i or perhaps even put a 128i on it.

Best I ever saw was HUGE Neuspeed stickers.....down the sides of a Tauras! I am saving room on my fenders for some nice Skyline GT-R badges... -jac |

Ditto the poseur sentiment, but to be fair http://www.rsportscars.com/eng/cars/bmw_135i.asp reports that there will be M badges on the door sills and dead-pedal.
