How did you wire in the V1? I bought one of the mini add-a-circuits to tap onto a fuse in the fuse box. On my Z4 i was able to tap into the map lights. Tried that on the 1 and wasnt able to get the map lights apart before i felt like they would snap...

i tapped the accessory fuse in the main fuse panel. you need to take the glove box down to get to it. very easy. all you do is pull the accessory fuse out (needle nose pliers), replace its spot with the add-a-line, put the accessory fuse back in the correct side of the add-a-line, then your 5amp fuse in the v1 line side. wait...why am i typing all this out? lol... http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=211933

I used this tutorial just to find out which wire to tap but ive hardwired many radar detectors in many of my friends cars including e46s e90s and even VWs.. Its really simple though. The V1 should come wiht a blue tap that you just crimp onto the green/white stripe wire... http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=209491

I use to post up a poll of a few different places, and we would just pick a date. You can go back a few pages and see the different threads

my spotting season is over this year! put the 1 into hibernation over the weekend.
and spent a truly inordinate amount of time claying that thing. if you track your car and pick up rubber marks, DO NOT let them sit for months. your wrist/arm will pay for it later
