sleepless nights over colour choice
i have on order a V O 1M but the pics ive seen lately from the people who have got their cars...im not sold anymore. sorry no offence to anyone who has that colour but in the pics where the cars are under showroom lighting or at the shows it really really pops but then in the pictures where it is just outside it looks so terrible. i have yet to see a white one that doesnt look good in the photos.
last two cars were white inc my 135i coupe i thought a change would be good. |

My 135 is white and I originally ordered a white 1m but then I saw a lot of great photos of VO and decided to switch. Sometimes I also wonder if I made the right decision but overall I am comfortable with the choice of VO. It is the one recognizable color that you own a 1m and won't look like every other car on the road.

Perhaps something else to consider with White.
It may be a classic motorsport colour, but don't forget its only been fashionable for the last 10 minutes and may not last. For example, in the UK, when was the last time you saw a white E46 M3? |

I still think BSM is the best color. I don't think it "hides" too many details at all. In fact, looks so different, especially with the contrasting wheels, that people will really take a double-look wondering what car that is. A clean black sports car always turns heads. |

Check out real-life pics of VO here:
http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...463733&page=26 remember: everyone that has seen VO in real life says that: - it is very hard to capture the color on photo - it does look much better in real life than on pictures |

Seriously, is color so important? Girls aren't this concerned over the color of their car! It looks great in all colors...get some sleep.

I just saw the vo parked outside and inside all cleaned up for the auto show. I had put myself for vo originally, but I'm changing to aw today. Though it's very unique for the 1m and BMW, it is much darker and copper-like when it's not bright out. I also plan to keep the car for years, so I've decided on the always impressive when clean white. I think it's the best for aesthetic mods as well.

You know, VO wouldnt be my choice in color for this car either, I just like the way AW and BSM look in the photos so far much better. With that said, one thing I've noticed enough to remember is that the color BMW chooses to launch a car in (ex. Sedona for 135i, etc..) usually ends up being a very good choice for that particular model, one that stands the test of time and really defines the car.
Color is such a personal decision that it all comes down to what you like, but assuming you are openminded to alot of I colors, it def. won't be ugly in person, BMW just seems to pick really good launch colors. |

My dealer sold all three 1M's he got allocated this year. I ordered mine in VO, as well as the other 2 buyers.
If you're in doubt, maybe consider this: you can, for the rest of your life, order probably just about every existing and future cars in white or black. You only get one shot at owning a Valencia Orange car. Does this help ? |

I know it's exclusive in the BMW lineup, but I see vibes, minis, aveos, etc. with the same colour. Everyone's gonna have different tastes though.

The correct color for this car is orange. I however went white because I can not stomach orange on a daily basis and to me white represents pure motorsport which this car seems to be about. If your a flashy guy go orange. If not, white or bsm

Whether you like VO or not, it's nice to see a unique color on this car. When I ordered my 135i last year, I was astounded to see that my color choices consisted of red, white, 3 shades of black (black, silver and gray), and, oh, about 23 shades of blue. No green, no yellow, no orange, no metallic red, no, no, no. But 23 shades of blue. Who picks these colors at BMW????

I also had my 135i in AW, and i've ordered my 1M also in AW, but then i saw some stunning pics, and i switched to VO!! So, on this wednesday, i will see VO for the first time in person, and then i make my final decision!!
Now, when i saw the pics of the 1M in AW at Spa&Zandvoort, i will go back to AW, maybe!! |
