Creaking Center Vent Help

So my center dash is creaking like a sumbitch. I got a friend of mine to yank it out. The creak is definitely coming from the interface between the vent and the dash.

Any recommendation for a fix? Lube? Grease? Tape?

No. The creak is deep within the dash and requires a dash removal. 10 hours labor.

Unhappy.

I managed to remove the a pillar and some other trim pieces. Then added some felt and gave it a good black magic gel soak all around the joints and edges. It's quieter than a church mouse for the first time ever... Wanted to share the successful results.

I did use silicon spray for my squeaky console and it worked great. Might consider that.

Yeah! It works great have been using it on all of my cars.
Not only will it protect the plastic but also lubricate it and it dries clean and not shiny and greasy.

Here is what you do.
1) Wash car!
2) Celan interior of all the dust and crap you get in there.
Now here you have an option
You can
3a) Liberly spray the crap out of the interious of the car doing your best to avoid all the glass in the car....it's hard to do but you can do it.
4a) Allow it to sit for a solid 5 min or 1 bottle of beer...your call.
5a) Wipe off.
6a) Drink beer and enjoy results!

3b) Take black magic tire clearer pour into cup
4b) Use a light paint brush...I kid you not..paint the surfaces of the car...with black magic
5b) white off
6b) Drink beer and enjoy results.

The car will have a nice black finish to it.
It will have that "new car" smell
and best of all your plasic bits will be quiet.

yes I’m sorry, i was typing while on a phone con....trying to multi task...but yes you may wish to wipe it off but you don't have to.
In about an hour it will dry and the plastic will actually absorb the plasticizer which is contained in the Black Magic.
I use the paint brush method, it works great! But you will need to have a very clean car.
Not only will it fix any odd sounds coming from plastic rubbing plastic but it will also give your car that new car smell!
Only drawback…your window…gets hazy

I do the entire dash and seats! Just don't get it on the windows since it's a bitch to remove.
This little trick was taught to me by a chemical engineer who lived in AZ. And well plastic parts in AZ cars just dry rot fast due to the UV light and extreme heat. When I asked him how his car looked good and had no cracks he told me about the "Black Magic" trick.
I did it on my VW Jetta and it was squeak free from the day i bought it till the day I sold it.

I went to the Black Magic website and found a number of tire products there: Tire Wet Wax, Tire Wet Gel, Tire Wet, Tire Wet Foam, Tire Wet Spray, and Bleche Blak TIre Cleaner.

Which of these Black Magic products, specifically, do you use?
