Bang for buck tyres recommendation?
So my stock Bridgestone RFTs that were replaced brand new 6 months ago are now on its last legs after 10,000km
I'm looking at getting the following specs: Front: 225/40/18 Rear: 255/35/18 However am on a budget. Any brands highly recommended? Would love to go PSS however money does not permit at this stage.. especially if the tyres get run down this fast! (though Jb4 could have been a major contributing factor... ) |

I have hankook evo s1's very happy with them in wet & dry weather paid under $1k for a set, I'm up for rears after 15,000kms I would have gotten more if I drove less like #becauseracecar
I'm deciding on either Nitto Inov's or Hankook RS-3's next. I'm in the same world of I cannot justify the price on PSS for the amount of boring km's I'd put on them. |

I see a lot of positive feedback for invo's on the forums, but in the recent motor mag tyre review they scored quite poorly being an average tyre at best.

I had them on my last car. Good for the money and they look great, but I wasn't blown away by either grip or comfort. Coming off runflats I was expecting them to be like clouds.

I guess it all depends on the size and the deals getting around, but I dont think the invo's are all that cheap? |

Definitely was a noticeable difference from the crappy RE050s runcraps, but just wasn't as significant as I had hoped. I'm using Yokohama AD08Rs now to replace the stock PSS and they stick like glue!

The previous owner of my car fitted Nexen N'fera in stock sizes to pass roadworthy.
They were around $600 for 4 fitted, and they are worth just about that.... Probably the softest sidewall tyre that I've driven on a performance car. Even on 36psi they roll around, making the car feel quite spongy. They don't squeal though. Haven't driven in the wet yet. Hopefully they wear quickly and I can upgrade soon |
